^Ok gque I think you are now mixing current play/ stats with play/ stats that supported the contract extension.  Obfuscation is never a good thing.

He's not playing well now, but he was when Mitch made the deal.  If you have some facts/ information to debate that premise, be happy to look at them.

When pau plays like a guy making 20 mill per yr I will give him credit. If he continues to play like he has he deserves all the criticism. Just like u do 4 supporting trash output that doesn't make la a title contender. When u ready to be real holla back.

I'll support the player when he supports the team.

So how does that philosophy work circa 2007 when Kobe was demanding a trade?

I have absolutely no idea what this means, so I guess I dont know how to "be real", which appears to mean, to you, that I dont agree with your view.  Give me some facts, information, grounded opinion to work with gque, and we can have  a meaningful debate.

Supports as in supporting the team by playing well.

And, I agree with not blaming the FO for Pau's contract.

How were they supposed to figure out that he was going to turn into garbage in his early 30s?

You expect to win championships with Smush Parker? Kwame Brown? Sasha Vujacic? Devean George?

You can't support something that doesn't exist.

Kobe has been surrounded by a lot of scrubs over his career.

I still don't understand why we're "hating" on Pau. Tell me what he's done this season to not warrant it?

If you're relying on how he played awhile ago to defend him, then you looking way too far into the past. Sorry if I'm looking at ample evidence in how he's played recently to conclude that he's just not a good player.

I'm not buying that very limited sample size BasketballIQ. He's better at C, but there's plenty of things he hasn't done that he could've done all season regardless of position.

I have questions about Jim. But, you have to give him credit for some of the successes the Lakers have had too. This team won back to back championships. The only thing I've see from Magic is trade for a bunch of guys who weren't even great last season. At least Nash was still an All-Star last season. That was a mistake, as well as the coaching hire. But, he's done some good too.

BTW, the 2nd quote was why I talked about treating older players like that. You were also defending Pau. So, it seemed like you were saying the Lakers should keep Pau despite how he was playing. So, I thought the "wasteland" was players not wanting to go to the Lakers because of lack of loyalty to their players. I don't agree with that.

You're both wrong.

Jeanie would have been a fine choice. In all seriousness, of course.

When does Pau get the surgery to re-attach his testicles?

Have no idea how she would do. She'd probably get Phil to coach though, which would be great.

Having had Planterfacitis, he is on track, but its a slow track.  The first two weeks are complete isolation of the foot, which is covered in a hard shell boot for a solid two weeks, with massive doses of anti-inflamatory drugs and ice.  After two weeks, one may put some weight on it and after about three weeks, the boot comes off and the patient can start normal activities, walking etc.

He is a a solid 3 weeks before you'll see him on the court, and personally, I'd sit out the season.  The Lakers are doing fine without him.

Ditto on Jalen Rose--he ought to just sit out this season.

Scrubs..? Shaquille O'Neal, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, Gary Payton, Karl Malone Horry...etc They are/were scrubs?

Currently - d12, Steve nash

There will be certain scrubs every year.

They were all amazing successful players...

05-07 yeah I get you that's what 3-4 years out of his 17 year career...

He has 5 rings for a reason. He had the help.

Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, Kwame Brown, Devean George, Ronny Turiaf, Vladimir Radmanovic, Jordan Farmar, Maurice Evans, Brian Cook.

Karl Malone was injured and only played 42 games...a shell of his former self. Payton was a shell of his former self too.

Obviously, I'm not talking about Shaq. You can say DH and Nash are a wash because we have an loser as a head coach. DH is in his first season here and he's coming off back surgery; Steve Nash is 100 years old.

LO was a solid role player. Very inconsistent but solid.

Every championship team has help.

Every superstar has to play with some scrubs... It's nothing new.

You completely disrespect players that helped us win a championship including Pau Gasol. We don't have scrubs this year we have a scrub coach. Steve Nash at "100 years old" is still playing at a high level. D12 as an injured player is still putting up respectable all star material numbers... Smh you need to learn how to respect your team as a fan. All you do is bash what we have... even the good things.

I never claimed it was new.

Just calling a spade a spade. And don't get me started on the garbage that is Pau Gasol...what he was and what he is now are like night and day.

You can respect the scrubs all YOU want. Don't be that dude who tries to tell other people how to be a fan of their teams.

Put it this way.

Windu supports what Pau was back then, but doesn't blind himself to what Pau is right now.
