Never understood how that makes any sense or what's the real meaning behind that. I know we have at least a few Portland fans here or even non, can anyone explain?

Bill Schonely the old Blazers Announcer coined the term. From what Blazer fans have told me here in PDX, its from the sound of a long three going through the net, and that Bill Schonely admittingly had no idea why he said that.
