Who cares about a winning streak! We still ain't making the playoffs!!

Now

Who cares if we're making the playoffs! We still lose in the first round!

If we make it out of the first round.

Who cares! (Insert team) was overrated! No way we get to the conference finals!

If we win the conference finals.

It doesn't matter! This team ain't beating Miami!

Last year we played OKC close in almost every playoff game.
Our PG combo is better.
Kobe playing better.
Metta is betta.
Dwight is an upgrade in many ways.
Troy Murphy is now Jamison.
McRoberts is Earl Clark.
Goudelock is Meeks.

We just need to get it together.

I love how you didn't even mention Pau.

I agree with that 100%. When playoffs come, Thunder will regret not having Harden. His penetration to the painted area often produced score for them. K-Mart doesn't have that and certainly he's not even close to Harden's level. They won only one game with a blowout last year. The other 4 was close until the end (except the 5th game which snowballed in beginning of the 4th) We are better than last year's team in many ways, we just haven't clicked because of the major change in core players. But it is coming. Just having Nash instead of Beta-Session make worlds of difference.

I don't think we will see Thunder though. I have a feeling they will get KO'd in 2nd round by either Nuggets or Clippers.

D'Antoni gave Phil a two game lead in the playoffs and still won the series.

Do I need to remind you of that roster?

i'd rather make the playoffs than not. if we had a pick this season it'd be different. there would be more benefit to having a lottery pick

Everyone like you forgets how dominate Kobe was in the playoffs besides the NBA finals....

The award in question is for finals MVP. So, I don't know what else would matter besides the performance in the finals. It's not a lifetime achievement award.

Based on what? Thunder have thoroughly handled the clips this season.

In one game they didn't have CP and in the other one it went to OT with CP arguably having his worst shooting game. Clippers owned Thunder last season, 3-1. And you know in big games CP will deliver. I'm not sure if they can take down Thunder without HCA but a Game 7 would be pretty close and can go either way.

The team is 1 game above .500 after back to back miracle wins against the dregs of the NBA. lets be real, they will be fortunate to make the playoffs. Making it out of the first round is extremely unlikely, especially if its the thunder I will say it is borderline impossible that the lakers take 4 of 7.

In Kobe-Duncan era when Lakers and Spurs face in playoffs, one of them definitely goes to the Finals, and 4 out of 6 it results in championship. It can be interpreted in two ways. Since they were both damn powerful, the path is easy rest of the way after one of them gets KO'd. Another is that the competition is so great that they elevate each other's level of play and mental toughness so that when they face other teams in later rounds they are ready for the challenge. I think the 2nd one is especially true. How is it relevant to our case? We are now climbing up the ranks, showing the will not to back down. A Spurs matchup in first round or 2nd round would be amazing for us in that sense. It is like killing a 10 level higher character and gaining lots of Exp. not to mention the confidence boost. Kobe, Nash and D'Antoni are familiar with Spurs and their system and I think that experience alone can result in great things on and off the court. We actually have the individuals to face any team but they have been disconnected throughout the season. And it is really tough to bring them together. However, now with egos shed aside and deciding on a winning game plan they are coming on the same page. Even Pau. You will see the change in his attitude when he returns. He's an emotional person before a basketball player, and you can see he's moved by team's progress ever since he went down.

I want Spurs in first round and I'm hopeful that this team will turn lots of heads when they play in postseason.

We also had Mike Brown as our coach and he pretty much formulated the formula to beat OKC after they showed us everything they had in game one.

If Mike brown ran the same offense this year we tried to run last year and we played okc we'd probably win in 5.

With this way this team, loose term, isn't playing, it doesn't matter much just to see an early exit, without Kob no chance and he's been burning lotsa juice he would need agaisnt playoff teams, common man give him a statue now Why Wait?
