Also the other thing is a lot of teams above us have had the easy sub 500 schedules since Japago love to talk about how you gotta beat the 500 teams to get in and such.

Here's some info.
So its up to us now to take advantage of the easier schedule. If those teams above us start faltering cause they finally get the tough kind of schedule we've dealt with up until this point, what does that tell you? :)

Like I said, the schedules always even out. There's a reason Golden State dropped from top 3 to bottom three and why Utah once considered out of reach is now in striking distance.

The fact we've had the 3rd hardest schedule in the NBA even with all our injuries turmoil and things to adjust to says a lot.

It also says a lot that the teams that got gimmie schedules to start the season are beginning to fall now that the schedule gets rougher while ours is getting easier.

And gque saying we "always lose to bad teams" we just went through an entire month losing(hopefully) only to one..

I mean Lakers in general every season lose to bad teams regardless if they have a good team or a bad team. This season is no different. 1 stretch of gms doesnt equate the entire season.  keep it all in perspective

I wondered if any of those young teams and young stars were going to injure themselves because they don't know how to pace for a full season yet... But we have to keep winning. Can't worry about them.

Lakers apparently have the 3rd easiest schedule in March while the Jazz have the 3rd toughest

I posted this in NBA Talk in the Tony Parker injury thread and wanted to here also:

I tottaly respect the Spurs in every way. If LA cant win a chip I'm content if the Spurs do.

However this COULD help our Lakers big time.

IF the Spurs maintain their pace and win the #1 seed and IF the Lakers sneak in and grab the 8 spot.....Maybe we play the Spurs w/o a Tony Parker. Or a Tony not at 100%.

That has UPSET written all over it.

Kobe has such a way with words.

"You watch anime?"

- "Yeah, I just got into it! Just recently, I just started watching Attack on Ti-"

"Get away from me, pleb."

Why the hell would you be okay with the Spurs winning a championship? They've been our biggest rival in the West in the last decade or so.

Because they're one of the most respectable franchises in the league. They may be our rival, but out of all the teams, I also want the Spurs to win the chip.

Lakers climb to 7 and face the Parker-less Spurs or the Clippers

WHy would you want Duncan to get his 5th championship. One of kobes strengths over duncan as the greatest player of this past decade was that he got 5 over Duncans 4 championships. So no I dont want Spurs to win it....

Also id rather face OKC/Spurs than face Clippers in the playoffs, they outmatch us in every plausible way possible.

Today were 2.5 games out of 8th seed with 25 games left to play.
We need to make up 1 game every 8 games.
Very doable, but like I said....if we fail to grab the 8 seed it will be by a slim margin. Like we'd finish 1/2 a game short.

11 day/4 games later we are still 2.5 games out of 8th seed with 21 games left to play.

Are failure to gain any ground means are pace needs to increase from what I said above on Feb 25th.

We now need to make up 1 game every 7 games to steal the 8th seed.

Remember a month or so ago when we were saying that the POs were a fantasy, and to make the POs would mean that the team was on a major roll and could do some real damage in the POs?  Well, we could possibly sneak into the POs with an 8 seed, maybe even 7, but I hardly see us being on a roll.  We can now beat bad/ medicore teams but still cant really compete with the elite teams.

Knockout in the 1st round vs not making the POs for a team with championship aspirations, doesnt seem to make much difference, other than it is something positve to take into an otherwise bleak offseason.

But Duncan have 3 FMVP to Kobe's 2.

Duncan was the best player in his team 3/4 while Kobe 2/5.

Yea cuz Kobe was sucking during those 3 championships right. He was barely being overshadowed by shaq who was like averaging 35 a night in the playoffs.
