But it's been a pretty long while since a Laker won the dunk contest.. Obviously, it's Mamba back in '96..
And I think us Laker fans have been blessed with a guy like Trevor Ariza on the team..

After the weak dunks from last year I would love to see the explosive dunks he would pull off. The winning dunk by Dwight Howard made for a great picture but he threw the ball in, he didnt actually dunk it.
I dont think that Ariza would be so flashy when its just himself. What makes Ariza's dunks so great are the plays he pulls off that immediately precede the dunk.

I'd love for that to happen just for the fact of having a Laker in the dunk contest but most of his dunks won't look as nice when there is no one else on the court. Still, I'm sure he's athletic and creative enough to do some unique dunks instead of the regular power facial we see in games.

And hmm I'm sure Ariza will have a transition dunk posterizing someone in the NBA DUNK CONTEST
