RT @kengurnick: Now on http://t.co/kjfLQ9QRnj Dodgers near deal with Cuban infielder Guerrero: Cuban infield prospect Alexander... http://t.co/fW9qXzqss3

Great move for them. Allows us to keep extra money to go after a third baseman now or re-up with Uribe for a season.

That's like us turning our back on Kobe just because he's still hurt for the rest of the year and Nick Young goes on to have a great season. I just don't think it's fair to judge Kemp until he's really fully healthy this upcoming season. If he never returns to form this upcoming season or if he never gets healthy, then I will be ready to side with Puig. Shoulder procedures take a while to heal and he's been running into some bad karma.

Alexander Guerrero is finally ready to sign. I want the dodgers to sign him so bad, I don't want the dodgers to have anything to do with Cano. I will throw a tirade if he ends up being a dodger on an 8 year deal. His contract will cripple us for the next decade.

Lol...who is turning their back on Kemp?  He's my favorite player on the Dodgers, his jersey is the only Dodger jersey I've ever owned.  No one is turning their back on Kemp by stating the reality of the situation: he's no longer the best OFer on the Dodgers.  It is what it is...

Yup, its scary to think that our team will be even more dangerous next year.

C: Ellis

1B: Gonzalez

2B: Punto or bring Ellis back (Till Guerrero is ready)

3B: Uribe/ Either or Pederson trade/ FA

SS: Hanley

LF: Puig

CF: Kemp

RF: Crawford

Our bench is going to need a revamp though, with a lot our pieces owning expiring contract. Its going to be a fun offseason for us and seeing which pieces are added. I don't necessarily like to see Either or Pederson gone, but I just don't think there's room for either of them. I would like to see a trade for an upcoming 3B/2B prospect that's major league ready. Its prolly just a pipe dream, but I would like to see it happen.

Just so you know, Guerrero is reportedly ready. He's 26 years old so he's not a rookie project.

I expect Guerrero to be the starting 2B unless he flops in spring training

He hasn't played baseball in a couple years haha, its kinda crazy to think he would be ready by spring training. I expect the dodgers to keep him in the minors for the first few weeks of the season. Then again, you never know about those crazy talented Cubans.

He's been playing in games in Arizona, he just hasn't been part of a league.

Scouts say he is ready. But we'll see, you never know with prospects. I've heard nothing but good things about him.

Has he really? lol, I didn't even know that he was allowed in the country yet. It would be Ill if we see before the end of the season.

He's a talented Cuban midfielder with plus speed and power. If we're lucky, we scored a really talented ballplayer for dirt cheap relative to the market. Good hitting midfielders are hard to come by.

I'm not sure why the hell I put Arizona, I meant the Dominican.  My fault.

Dodgers are mashing tonight! 4 homeruns, only the third inning.

Uribe with two homeruns.

Gonzalez with a two run bomb.

Ethier with a homerun of his own.

Michael Young has brought out some extra fire in JU it seems.

Puig looking a tad reckless with some of his swings.

Nolasco's entrance song is the shizz.

yo.

How similar are Guerrero's stats to Puig?

Contract year. Expect Uribe to fall off if he's back.

Really going to depend on the market.  Believe it or not, Uribe is the best name on the free agent list at 3B.  I wouldn't mind a two year deal (no more than that) and wait for Seager to be ready to be promoted to the bigs.  Seager is our 3B of the future, so you might not see the Dodgers go out and try and trade for that position.

If they do, don't be surprised to see them go after Headley.  He had a down year so his price may be cheaper than in years past.  just depends on what the Dodgers are willing to give up for him.  But as of now, I think Uribe is brought back on a two year deal at most.

I think we'll be better off looking for an option at SS. There's no way Ramirez can retain that spot as he gets older, he's way too big for the position hahaha. It would be nice if we got a top glove at the spot, like Alexei Ramirez. I've been kinda hoping the dodgers would make a move for him, but any other player that can play the position well will be welcomed.

As Seager for the future, it might just be best if we keep him at SS hahaha. It'll be a hell of alot better than having an aging Hanley at the position.
