Do you guys think Hanley has a shot at the NL MVP? I know hes missed a lot of games but if he keeps this up he has to be mentioned. I know Manny was like 4th the year he came to LA.

No, I would think that Adrian Gonzalez & Clayton Kershaw would deserve the consideration before Hanley...

Really interested to see what the Dodgers are going to do at the deadline.  Although they seem content with their starting rotation, I will not be surprised to see them acquire another starter to really make that rotation complete.

Someone like Jake Peavy would be awesome for this team.  He's a west coast guy and knows the NL West all too well.

As far as position players go, I don't think they will go after a third baseman anymore, but if they do, you could see them get a player like Michael Young.   There's not much talent available at third and although I like Kyle Seager, the Mariners don't seem intent on selling despite them being out of the race.

With that Cuban shortstop/second baseman, there are conflicting reports to whether he was signed or not, but if he does end up signing, he'll be up with our club by September.

I expect all our outfielders to stay put for at least this season.  Kemp can't stay healthy and Crawford's health is still a question mark sometimes, so it doesn't make sense to trade Ethier, who has been our healthiest outfielder.

And as far as our relief pitching goes, you'll see an arm added but question is if it will be via trade.  If the Dodgers go after a starter, you'll see Fife go to the bullpen as a long reliever, but even at that point, I think they could add a back of the bullpen guy.  Jansen seems to have taken the closer role permanently, so a veteran set up guy will be key.

It would be nice if Puig could stay at the plate for more than 3 pitches.

Puig with a rare walk. I think thats the biggest thing to fix his batting. He really wants to hit but he needs to learn a walk is sometimes just as good.

A month ago, Puig looked like a man amongst boys. Now, he looks like a toddler amongst adults with his attitude.

Offense definitely needs to pick up and Puig is still going through growing pains. He's learning though and this should be huge for him. Great win, now up 2 1/2 on the D-Bags and good to see League getting back on track.

The whole offense needs to pick up thing doesn't make sense to me. Today was a terrible day but this was a series against a good Cinci team with a very good pitching staff.

Reds are a quality team...

this 3-1 series win means ALOT for the dodgers... they are serious contenders in the playoffs.
