Yeah when Skip Schumaker is going yard like that, you KNOW the offense is clicking.

It's really embarrassing and he's showing high immaturity even cause you've gotta' be certain the coaches have told him to try & do otherwise. You see them shaking their heads every once in a while. If they can't get it through his head, I'm not sure what can or needs to be done to give him a reality check to get serious already.

Well I did point out the concerns of immaturity earlier in the season.  Many fans felt he was so talented that it would overshadow those issues but as you can see, you can't get by on just skill in baseball, it's too difficult of a game.

First thing is first for Puig and that's Mattingly NEEDS to move him down in the lineup.  Not take him out of the lineup because Puig is still a player that can change the complexion of a game in any inning.  Move him to 5, 6, 7 or 8.   He shouldn't be rewarded for struggles by being allowed to stay at the top of the lineup.

and I admit I was one of them to an extent. You were absolutely right.

Puig with a couple of great defensive plays and an RBI single. Progress!!

Good to see Ellis and Schumaker getting in on the action

M.Ellis and Crawford are heating up. Funny thing is A-Gon isn't slumping but he hasn't been his usual self lol once he gets it going look out

Great to be in first but now it's about extending the lead in the division.  A wildcard will not be coming from the NL West so if we want to get into the playoffs, we need to win the division.

^ Very fortunate to be in this division right now though or else we could still be in a rather sizeable hole.

Dodgers just signed a 26 year old Cuban shortstop to a 7 year, $32 million deal.

They are saying he could play short or second.  I think you're looking at the next second baseman for the squad.   A year ago they said he could probably start right away but then he took a year off for some reason so you'll see him in the 2014 season most likely.

EDIT UPDATE: Maybe I'm wrong, reporter from ESPN Deportes just tweeted this.  Very interesting if true. He would obviously come off the bench which might be a good addition for depth.

@dSoldevila

Dodgers' plan with Guerrero is to play him a couple of weeks in AA or AAA and then send him to LA to play 2B

Actually if you look at all the divisions, the NL West is pretty consistent.

Our division just doesn't have that team that is near 60 wins at the top like others.

The NL West owns the 3rd best winning percentage, only the AL East and NL Central are better. Its always been a pet peeve of mine that everybody blasts the NL West being terrible for the past few years. I'm pretty sure our division regularly sends 2 teams to the playoffs and at the very least make it to the NLCS.

^ Yeah well obviously I'm specifically talking about the top teams in their divisions and records, not as a whole.

The NL West has never been top heavy, our division has always been consistent and competitive. I just hate that the NL West has a reputation of being a bad division, its a pet peeve of mine haha.
