Let's be honest here though, we're very fortunate we are in the weakest division in baseball at the top or else, we'd have a bit of a bigger hole to climb.

You work with the cards you're dealt.  Someone actually tried arguing with me today saying that if the Dodgers win the division, it won't be that much of an accomplishment because of the strength of the division.

My response to that is that it does not matter how strong your division is.  All that matters is that you get to the playoffs.  In baseball, the best team in the strongest division means absolutely nothing.  Being the hottest team at the time is what matters.

By the way, Puig flipping his bat like it's his job.  Kid is kind of impressive.

The second pitch was the only one he got and it was the only one he didn't swing at. Tough luck. It happens like that sometimes.

And they get the win and also end Cuddyer's hit streak.

best thing for the dodgers?

They scored a run in 6 of the 9 innings!!!!

this is a team that couldn't score a run to save its season a month ago...

Now?

Hottest team in Baseball...

There are some red flags though...

Dude is a joke on the basepaths...

Still iffy in the outfield...

In the minors, he seemed to not care, since he was MILES ahead of everyone else....

Puig is bigger then life, just like manny...

He has such talent that his small mistakes, will be forgiven...

The way the kid is playing, no one is going to tell him to correct anything...

and, he is just a 22 year old kid...

I can see Puig being Puig...

Always trying to stretch that single into a double...

This kid is going to be a STAR...

Great game by Kershaw and Puig. Hanley and Uribe chipped in nicely as well

Sucks to see Kemp struggle again but hope he gets it together.

This kid is going to be a STAR...

He already is. He made the all-star team with limited at-bats. If there's anyone who can do that, it's him. He's that special.

Before tonight, Kemp was batting .277, which isn't horrible.

His swing is really pissing me off though.  He is so unbalanced it's ridiculous.
