Oh wow.
With those numbers he should have no problem securing a roster spot.

Mattingly said he'll start the year in the minors. I like that move bc it'll give him more playing time. Crawford, Kemp, Ethier have the outfield spots locked up and it does no good to have Puig on the bench.

That's true, if Ethier gets into a deep slump I'd like to see Puig get a shot though.

The biggest thing with Ethier will be how he hits lefties. If his struggles continue, you may see a Ethier/Puig platoon, which could ultimately lead to the trade of Ethier out of LA

Hopefully Hanley's injury isn't anything severe. I think he's going to be one of the top 3 players on the team this year. MRI results on his thumb should be coming tomorrow.

EFFFIN WBC, Hanley is now hurt
We may lose a lot power wise and clutch hitting wise but our depth comes in handy here, I'd start Dee Gordon at SS. Dodgers are super deep at 3B so defensively we should be ok....Luis Cruz, Jerry Hairston, Nick Punto, Elian Herrera all solid replacements until Hanley comes back hopefully hes not out too long

Ugh. This hurts A LOT.
No Hanley, and both Kemp/Crawford returning from injury so they will start slow. Not a good way to start the season.. Hopefully Greinke is healthy enough and our pitching staff can keep us in ball games.

Maybe try Puig at 3B?
Probably won't happen. He's an outfielder and the switch to third is too risky for a prospect like Puig, especially to just throw him in at third base at the Major League level.

Puig to be sent to AA, Dee Gordon to AAA
Apparently if Puig spends 20 days in minor leagues this year the Dodgers can keep him through 2019. Hope we're not losing in the meantime without him

Good decision by the Dodgers. If we are in dire need of a young, raw prospect saving us offensively, we don't deserve to win anything.
Kemp, Ethier, Gonzalez still provide pop to the middle of the lineup, hopefully Crawford can provide something early on.
We started off 16-6 last year before dying out a little bit, but even then that was with a lineup of Dee, M. Ellis, Kemp, Ethier, Loney, Uribe, Gwynn, and AJ Ellis. I'd like to think that our offense will be just a bit better now that they have some time together instead of the huge roster turnover that we had last year at the deadline.
Our pitching will be solid again.
We were top 3 in ERA last season and I think our rotation is much improved this year. Ryu will be the wild card in this because if he adjusts well to MLB batting, this rotation could have 4 solid starters opposed to last season when we had Kershaw and Billingsley, who was pitching well late until his injury. Our bullpen should be fine, especially if we can get late into the game with Belasario, Jansen, and League. Our bullpen is fairly deep and balanced which I didn't we had last year.
We'll need to score runs, but I don't see it being a problem unless they get off to a slow start.

Why Mattingly & Co. think they are going to get any type of valuable production out of Uribe is beyond me.
Should be Cruz at 3B & Gordon at SS to start the season until Hanley comes back. Uribe is worthless...

Mattingly is batting Ellis 8th I dont get this at all, put Uribe at 8th. AJ gets on base too much to bat at the 8th position and wasting outs away with the pitcher. I understand late in the game you need a runner to get on base and AJ helps you out but what is the point if you're wasting him away through the first 6-7 innings
