WTF Kennedy hitting Puig in the face/head area. Puig plays so far off the plate to begin with why come that far inside near the head area?

Montero shoulda been kicked out suspended too. Thats 3 HBP's under him

Good win but we better freaking win tonight Im going to the game lol

The Puig thing wasn't intentional. Kennedy has very limited control when going inside so it wasn't a surprise. But in baseball, if a player gets hit in the head (intentional or not), expect a retaliation pitch.  Greinke did exactly that and it should have been the end of it.

But Kennedy took it to a whole different level by going for Greinke's head.  Baseball is okay with hitting batters and sticking up for teammates, but you do not do it by throwing at someones head. It's an unwritten rule that every person who has played the game knows about.

Kennedy should get at least 10 games.  Montero should get about 5.  They knew what was going to happen, Montero was staring down Greinke as he was at the plate.

Yea its one thing to throw at a body where you might get a bruise but throwing at a head is [expletive]ed up. People die from [expletive] like that.

There goes another game. D'Backs having fun mocking us with their stupid signs they do after every hit. You would think that would piss the Dodgers off enough to want to get out of this funk and start playing the way they should be playing from top to bottom but I suspect nothing will change in the coming days/weeks.

they also mocked the part when our outfielders do the triple chest bump after winning!

GOSH! I hate them!

We havent won 3 in a row since April. We're 9-21 vs NL West. Last 10 games were the best stretch of our season if you just look at energy/effort level and we went 5-5.

Yea we're not making the playoffs

Suspension: Kennedy 10 games, Hinske 5, Howell 2, Schumaker 2, McGwire 2, Belisario 1, Mattingly 1, Gibson 1.

Fined but not suspended: Puig, Greinke, Montero, Parra.

Dodgers also fined since Beckett and Capuano, who were on the DL entered the field for the fight. Beckett/Capuano not fined.

Really don't think Kennedy got enough. He'll only miss like what? 2 or 3 starts?

Tough loss. So close, but yet so far.

Puig came back nicely though. 2-4 again. Now batting 487.

This is pathetic. Damn you Dodgers offense

Kershaw has an NL-low 1.88 ERA, a 0.98 WHIP and has held opposing batters to a .195 batting average.

But he is just 5-4 and the Dodgers are only 7-7 in his 14 starts because of their inability to give him any run support.

During his 100 1/3 innings this season, the Dodgers have scored just 30 runs – and three of those were scored by Kershaw himself. They have scored three or less (total, not just when he was in the game) in 11 of his 14 starts.

Most shocking -- Kershaw really has had to be nearly perfect in order to get a win.
In his five victories, Kershaw has allowed one run in 41 2/3 innings.
One.

Well hopefully when some guys get back from the DL and with the new addition of Puig their offense will pick up but idk. Just seems like they cant string together a few wins.

Since 2011 Jansen has blown 9 of his 37 opportunities so far thats almost 25% of his save chances. Jansen is our closer because League sucks more and lack of altneratives I dont think Kenly is our closer long term. This will not work.

Hes a pefect set up man, hes a sensational reliever. I feel more comfortable in the 8th inning. He reminds me of Guillermo Mota was probably the best set up man in baseball from 2002 to 2004 to Eric Gagne.  Jansen is that 8th inning guy who can occasionaly close

Puig 3-3 today. Batting 500 now, 25-50 exactly, but Dodgers down 5-2 in the 6th.

Mattingly freaking dumb. Bases loaded in the 6th with 2 outs and Luis Cruz is up wouldn't you pinch hit for him? ANYONE...Hairston, Uribe, Mark Ellis, Hanley you had so many freaking options and you still let Cruz bad. Eff you Don.

This team sucks because of you
