Matt Kemp to the DL.  Might be the best thing that he takes some time off though even if the injury is minor.

So the most logical thing to do in this situation is for the Dodgers to call up a third catcher instead of one of the best minor league CF's in Joc Pederson.

Really hope that Fed being called up is an emergency move just being made on short notice.  Makes no sense.

Welp, I guess the Dodgers have given me the answer I was looking for.  I wondered if they could do better in May than the 13-13 record they put up in April.  0-6 so far in the month, and here is their remaining schedule (the Dodgers will be buried so deep in last place by the end of this month, they might as well just start focusing on next year):

5/8 vs. Arizona (Kershaw is pitching this game so expect the D'Backs to achieve a 1-0 victory)

5/10-5/12 vs. Florida (this is the only winnable series but knowing the Dodgers they'll lose 2 of 3)

5/13-5/15 vs. Washington

5/17-5/19 @ Atlanta

5/20-5/22 @ Milwaukee

5/24-5/26 vs. St. Louis

5/27-5/28 vs. Anaheim

5/29-5/30 @ Anaheim

5/31 @ Colorado

The best record I see the Dodgers putting up in this stretch is 8-13.  That's best scenario.  That would put their overall record at 21-32.  Gotta love watching these mediocre results season after season despite high expectations every year...

Wow I was close, they ended up going 10-11 in this stretch lol...

They go 10-17 in May following a 13-13 April.  I can't even make a prediction for June...

Hope he is alright.  Usually numbness and tingling in fingers signals nerve damage.   Would hate to see him end his career that way.

I thought for sure Pederson would get the call to action before Kemp, especially since he's a natural CFer, but I can't wait to see Puig time!

Lol at some in here actually predicting YP wouldn't get his chance until late in the season or at all.

Dude's already got as many home runs as Kemp has in almost 50 more games.

If it weren't for injuries, he would still be down in the minors.

What a game for this kid though, so much raw potential at 22 years of age!

By his play already it's obvious he was ready & should've been called up regardless or else the Dodgers are complete idiots. Struggling as much as they are and holding this guy back.

Kemp should take notes. Maybe he can regain his power taking lessons from YP.

Not really idiots.

The kid is 22 years old.  He has a lot of potential but they played it safe since they Crawford, Kemp, and Ethier in the outfield so there was no need to rush him.  Obviously in hindsight, you can criticize that decision but many scouts agreed it was the right call with the Dodgers roster situation.

The kid is here now and that's all that matters.  We'll see how his game progresses as pitchers make adjustments against him. He's a free swinger, kind of like Vlad Guerrero was.  There are positives and negatives to being that type of player.
