Carl Crawford so far Career high in Average and On Base Percentage

All the Boston guys have been great...Punto, A-Gon and Crawford.  Beckett had a 2.9 ERA last year as a Dodger. Hes looked average so far but he can do much better

I worry about Beckett.

What made Beckett so good a few years ago was his fastball at 95 MPH +, now that he's lost that power fastball, he actually needs to be a pitcher that can work his other pitches into a game to be successful.  So far he hasn't been able to do that.

Good win today, hopefully we can get back on the right track after taking this series.

Man I have no faith in Brandon League anymore. Bullpen problems starting to creep up...Belisario struggling like crazy and now League. Jansen is too young I dont trust him with the closers role even though he has the best stuff of anyone on the bullpen. Hopefully a trade can be made for Uribe or something to shore up the bullpen

Damn you Beckett

And only 2 runs scored tonight...Ethier 8th inning 2 outs runners on 1st and 2nd, flies out, I thought we had some momentum in that inning.

Hope Kersh gets us a win tomorrow

Jonathan Sanchez heading to the Dodgers...I like this. I know hes struggled ever since he left San Fran since 2010 but I think he can contribute here, only 31, played ton of NL West games.

Kershaw
Greinke
Ryu
Beckett
Sanchez (tons of postseason experience)

and Capuano as your long reliever

Not bad

LHP Jonathan Sanchez looks like he's zeroing in on a deal with the Dodgers. May need a few starts in minors before call up.

EDIT:

UGH Never mind well this explains it

Josh Beckett is a candidate for DL tomorrow, Mattingly said. Didn't mention any specific injuries beyond saying Beckett's groin was "sore."

Greinke came back just in time to help the Dodgers take a series against the Nats, nicely done.  Too bad the offense is still crap.

Going to be a looong season...

Actually in terms of hitting, this team has been pretty damn good since the SF series.  Scoring runs is a different story though.

They have been hitting the ball, just gotta score runs.  They are coming around, you can see it little by little.  I think a trade for a power hitting third baseman or second baseman needs to happen.

Kemp is out of his slump hitting-wise, but power-wise, not so much.

Well one can only hope cause it's been an awfully long time to say the least (dating back to a long portion of last season even).

Last season he came back and played through a shoulder injury for that long portion that you're talking about which ended in the off-season surgery.

Kemp's hitting the ball which is key, it's the power numbers that are concerning but as long as he's hitting, the homeruns will eventually come.

Without the power numbers though, Kemp is nowhere near earning his pay. It's a huge part of his game (or was) that originally got him that money.
