Everything you said is very valid lol. But I am one of those dodger fans who still thinks Dee Gordon can find a niche in MLB ;)

He can if he takes Lou Brown's advice from Major League and learns how to "hit the ball on the ground and leg 'em out" - I've heard good things about progress he's made playing winter ball in the DR & Puerto Rico but we'll see if that progress makes it back with him to the mainland against MLB pitchers this spring...

The dude just escaped a Communist hell hole and has $40 million to play around with.  He's going to wear what he damn well pleases...

hopefully this extension happens soon

latest post from MLBTR...

"Ace Clayton Kershaw has had ongoing discussions with the Dodgers about an extension that could reach ten seasons with over a $30MM annual salary, says Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Club GM Ned Colletti said just recently that talks have been active, and of course the club reportedly extended Kershaw a $300MM offer during the 2013 season. Such a deal would make Kershaw the best paid player in baseball history, both in terms of total guarantee and annual salary."

He just filed for arbitration, so hopefully they can get an extension done like now...

Well much more favorable the the prior $300 million estimates coming out from various people, I get that is the market but still. If anything the length of the contract worries me more, after that 3-4 year, it might get rough.

Kershaw will more than likely opt out after 5 (which he could get a larger contract).

This is a great deal considering what he could have got.

Biggest thing is health.

I thought he was going to get more to be honest. I love the deal and completely trust in the man's work ethic and will. Watch next season being his best yet, I can't see him being satisfied with how the season ended.

Not upset about the Tanaka to Yankees news.

Anything over $120 million for Tanaka is ridiculous in my opinion. That was the most I wanted the Dodgers to spend on him so I'm glad they didn't get too crazy in the negotiation.

Dodgers will probably add Arroyo or Garza but I'd rather bring up Zach Lee and slot him as our #5.

We don't need to sign another starter. I want to see competition between Stripling, Lee, and Beckett. We'll be well off with either of those options.
