Very bummed about the tanaka news

Stupid MLB

You have the best salary cap system in sports, and you go ruin part of it, capping the payout to teams at 20$ million... Now some of the worlds best will never come stateside...

Fine with that. Ridiculous to spend 60 mil to just negotiate with a player.

Yeah they will, they'll just have to wait a little longer...

Every MLB voted in favor of it. It now gives teams equal chances of bidding on a player.

Players will come over. It's the teams that are mad in Japan, not the players.

Was released by the Indians after the marijuana incident but he was on his way out anyways cause he criticized Cleveland fans and the organization previously so the relationship was broken already.

Solid reliever.  Had 25 saves last season, 39 and 36 the two seasons before that one.  He'll throw mid to high 90's.  And it's on a one-year deal so yet another great move by Coletti.

Withrow

Howell

Rodriguez

Perez

Wilson

Jansen

It's going to be one of the best bullpens in the league.  We need to get a couple long inning guys which is probably the next move.

Here's a little video on Perez in a save attempt in case those haven't seen him throw:

Don't forget though that Brandon League (unfortunately) will be in the bullpen as well.  Hopefully he can find himself because he is the one black hole in that group...

I see Chris is from Florida and obviously has that Hispanic last name. Assuming he's either part Cuban, Puerto Rican, or Spanish. Does he speak it though?

Maybe by the time Spring Training comes around Colletti will have found some sucker to take League off the Dodgers' hands...

Any rule that makes it less likely for the best players to come to the MLB makes me sad...

Isn't it bad enough communism has kept generations of Cuban players from coming stateside?

Now American socialism is keeping away the Japan players...

Blah...
By trying to make an artificial even playing field, they have completely destroyed it...

I am very sad a out this.. I wanted to see this guy pitch in the MLB... And would have loved it for the dodgers to get him...

Now? How long before he comes over?
