We need to send Cruz down to AAA and get another middle reliever up, our bullpen is very shaky right now. Hanley is back so Sellers and Uribe can take care of 3rd

Another great performance from Street Fighter tonight: 12 K's, 3 H's, 2 BB's, 2 ER, RBI single (batting .333 on the year).  He is going to contend for NL ROY, he better win it too.  The award needs to come back to LA where it belongs...

Good to see Hanley back in the lineup as well, and he's already making his prescence felt.  Now that the Dodgers have their planned 3/4/5/6 all out there it's more tolerable to have a black hole in the lineup such as Pop Tart or Fat Turd.  I still think they should call up Dee and move Ramirez to 3rd though...

The Dodgers close out April at 13-13, let's see if they can do any better in May...

I feel so bad for Kershaw. He got a hit, he pitched his heart out and lost

11 hits... 2 runs.

4 hits for the giants 2 runs.

Sigh.

Finally.  I'm assuming Hanley's out for awhile if they are calling up Dee. Mattingly compared Hanley's injury to Kemp's from last season, which isn't good.

I've started to lose interest already.

I hope this team can turn it around, but I don't think a championship is possible with Mattingly as our manager.

Of the last 6 series we've played vs San Fran, they've won 4 and we've gotten swept in 3 of them. We have lost 5 of the 6 dvision series so far in 2013 vs NL West teams. 13-17. 5.5 games behind 1st place in NL West. Ethier is doing nothing. Cruz is 6 for 66. A-Gon and Hairston are hurting.  Bullpen looks shaky.  Pretty much re-living the Lakers nightmare again

^ That's pretty bad, but thankfully it's still a long season although it's never good to put yourself in a hole.

We need major changes. Major. I dont care what it is. Make Ethier bat 8th or fire Mattingly or whatever the hell it is. They need to change what they're doing. Nothing is working. NOTHING. Starting pitching outside of Kershaw is shaky. Hitting with Runners in Scoring position is sucking again

Don Mattingly wasting away AJ Ellis and Adrian Gonzalez (like he wasted away Ethier and Cruz last year)

There's 2 players in baseball with at least 100 PA, OBP at/above .390, and fewer than 10 runs. Both Dodgers: AJ Ellis, Adrian Gonzalez.

Cap with a nice 10.38 ERA, unreal.

Punto still beasting too though with that sweet average. Don't think many would've expected that (granted in limited playing time but still).

Well now Capuano has no trade value.

17 runs scored for Kershaw in his 7 starts this year.

1.66 ERA & 0.90 WHIP, 52 K's in 48 IP...all of that gets Kershaw a pedestrian 3-2 record.

This team is straight up garbage...

Dat Nick Punto just continues to beast. One of the very few bright spots this whole season so far. Dodgers down 2 in the 9th at home, hoping to avoid yet another loss.

Welp, I guess the Dodgers have given me the answer I was looking for.  I wondered if they could do better in May than the 13-13 record they put up in April.  0-6 so far in the month, and here is their remaining schedule (the Dodgers will be buried so deep in last place by the end of this month, they might as well just start focusing on next year):

5/8 vs. Arizona (Kershaw is pitching this game so expect the D'Backs to achieve a 1-0 victory)

5/10-5/12 vs. Florida (this is the only winnable series but knowing the Dodgers they'll lose 2 of 3)

5/13-5/15 vs. Washington

5/17-5/19 @ Atlanta

5/20-5/22 @ Milwaukee

5/24-5/26 vs. St. Louis

5/27-5/28 vs. Anaheim

5/29-5/30 @ Anaheim

5/31 @ Colorado

The best record I see the Dodgers putting up in this stretch is 8-13.  That's best scenario.  That would put their overall record at 21-32.  Gotta love watching these mediocre results season after season despite high expectations every year...
