We're really gonna see what this team is made of and see if they have the mindset of a team who can and deserves to win the World Series in the next few days. It's all about each and every guy focusing for Thursday and asking themselves what each of them need to do to get back to where we were

That news sucks but honestly guys we don't need him. We completely turned our season around without him. They just need to stay mentally strong right now and be fully ready to go come Thursday. The last month has been mediocre but they know what they need to do to bring the title back to where it belongs and they don't want to let this incredible turnaround of a season go to waste. It's time to GET THIS DONE. Bring on the Braves!!! I'm so [expletive]ing ready for October baseball with the Dodgers in it!

They do need him...Ethier is a question mark at this point as well, and the Dodgers won't be winning many playoff games starting Skip Schumaker in center...

We were winning a lot of games without Ethier as well... obviously I want him healthy and hopefully he'll be good to go but if he's not the sky is not falling. This team is extremely talented with seasoned vets who know how to get it done (Mark Ellis, AJ Ellis, Skip Schumaker, Nick Punto) That is very valuable in the playoffs. If we have the right mindset and focus I like our chances.

I wouldn't place AJ Ellis into the "seasoned vet" category, dude was a career minor leaguer...

Skip is the one of that group with the most valuable experience with his 2 rings, but I dunno how that's going to translate when he's forced to start every game & leadoff...

Espn says mattingly is in the manager of the year discussion...

Meanwhile...
Kershaw is a lock for cy young

Puig should have a good shot at rookie of year
Ryu should be in the top 5 as well

Espn had Brandon league on the cy yuk list.
And volquiz

Not anymore I don't think, that ship has sailed...

I'd be every surprised if the Dodgers don't extend him this offseason...

Puig & Ryu will both be Top 5 in NL ROY voting but I don't think anyone can take it away from Fernandez...

Don Mattingly discusses the pressures he was facing during the Dodgers' trying first half.

ESPN's Buster Olney seems to think otherwise if they don't make it past the first round.

Id leave Andre off the 1st round roster

Here's my 25 man roster

C AJ Ellis,

1B A-Gon

2B Mark Ellis

3B Uribe

SS Hanley

RF Puig

CF Schumaker

LF Crawford (WE NEED THIS GUY BAD!)

Outfielders: Van Slyke, Hairston

Infilders: Punto, Michael Young

C: Federowicz

Pitchers:  Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu

Bullpen:  Nolasco (Long Relief), Capuano (Long Relief), Marmol,  Wilson, Belisario, Withrow, Howell, Paco, Jansen

Id go with 12 pitchers...I think Im confident in using Kershaw and Greinke as Pinch Hitters if we need one they can surprise us with the bat

Mattingly needs to lay off that stupid double switching.  Crawford has been up and down, he finished last week hitting .400 hope he gets on base more often for A-Gon and Hanley to drive in

Our starters are better than theirs but their bullpen is better. We need to get a lead early and hold on to dear life and also NO ERRORS

Puig with the first hit.

And with the first run. Truly fitting he gets the first hit and first run.
