The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to create roster spots, making Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, Devin Ebanks and Darius Morris available for second round picks, according to sources.
Blake remains part of the Lakers' rotation, but the other players only receive sparse minutes.

why do we need roster spots??? are these big enough salaries to be considered salary dumps?

You're assuming the Lakers decided to wait until the morning of the deadline to tell people what they were offering?

And the other guys are trash, that's why they didn't play.

I'm betting nothing happens. I'd say 5% chance. IMO just trade deadline fodder. I mean really, you all aren't buying this are you?

Unfortunately, I think if they move one of them, it will be just to get draft picks. I would love to see a trade for a better backup PG or something, but not expecting it.

I just don't see teams actually wanting those players. I mean maybe Blake but if we trade Blake and we don't get a decent back up pg the were basically giving up this season.

No one is saying something is going to happen. I mean look at what we are offering. You're not really making some bold prediction LOL.

Wojnarowski is the best in the biz though. So there's at least legitimacy to this rumor.

Not trying to make a major prediction WC, just think this has the makings of 'fodder' written all over it.

And Woj is pretty solid. Just seems like news for the sake of news to me.

But hey if Mitch can improve our team by jettisoning some of our dead weight, I'm all for it.

because they have to win pretty much all their games, and having ebanks on the floor makes you not win games :)

I just don't know exactly what trade assets we have. The guys available are guys that nobody wants and we don't have any draft picks. The only guys I see people biting on are Blake, Morris, or Ebanks. But Morris and Ebanks don't have much to show for their careers thus far.
