Will there be a trade by the deadline?

Hopefully some of our players have value as expiring contracts this offseason. They'll have lesser value as players since most are old.

"Love me or hate me it's one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, hate my swagger, hate my fade-away, my hunger, hate that i'm a veteran, A champion, hate that. Hate it with all your heart, and hate that i'm loved for the exact same reasons."

Cause the reactions to things that happen are so childish and moronic.

I think they could have added to the Lakers' problems depending on what players they traded for. This season is a lost cause, and it would have been a mistake saddling the Lakers with long term contracts of older players.
On the other hand, I think the Lakers could've tried to take advantage of teams trying to win now and traded some players for higher value than they would have at any other time.

^A "seller" at the deadline, get used to it unfortunately.
The Lakers could've traded their older players to teams trying to win now for some younger players(would have to take a huge hit in talent) to try and find players Dwight would want to play with in the future.

with what assets do we have to trade? nothing. Our older players are garbage.
Nash, and maybe even Kobe. Pau would've been an asset had he been healthy. He's been bad this season, but I think somebody would've taken the chance since he's a big guy. Maybe Metta would've been an asset if teams feel he can get back to how he was playing earlier in the season with more rest. Jamison could've helped out a team too. The Lakers also had little TPEs and expiring contracts they could've used.

After losing to Dallas, the Heat didn't trade Bosh, like people suggested, because they knew in the second season they could build around those three.
They added Battier and as Miller and Haslem got healthier and Chalmers got a year older, they had enough around the Big 3.
People have to realize that as much as Pau underperformed this season, and despite his past two playoff performances, he can help this team a lot.
Passing, inside scoring, can block a shot or two and help on the boards.
Or he can be traded for depth.
Jordan Hill can be the back-up Center we need next year. And we can add the back up PG and/or wing player we don't have right now.
Why would you trade Kobe? He expires next season anyway, but even beyond that, 15 seasons starting and 5 chips.
He has done enough for the team to stick with him even if he wasn't still playing at an elite level.
Kobe haters and people who have unrealistic expectations would have won zero titles as a GM.
They would have gotten rid of Shaq in 99 because we didn't win our first three years.
