We have to win tonight first. That's the focus.

If Lakers win today & Jazz losses, Lakers basically have a clean slate. After that, it's upto them to maintain the lead.

Dwight and Gasol playing together well.

Gotta give props

Gasol 22/11/4
Howard 19/6/4 (while missing 3/4ths the ghame in foul trouble)

Jamison 13/8 off the bench
Blake 7/5/6
Meeeks 9/3

These are the kinds of numbers we expected at the start of the season from these guys.

Yep. Gonna need it tomorrow and some production from Earl as well. It's nice to control our own destiny again. Hopefully we can finally capitalize on it. We can do this we just need to have the right mindset.

Yeah, Earl was in foul trouble too. But he had 5 assists and 3 rebounds in a vital stretch of the game. So I'm glad he was in late.

Minnesota has to win one of the two meetings. Hard to see the Lakers going undefeated the rest of the way.

If we beat Portland tomorrow we're a game up.

Then if we beat Golden State and Utah loses to Minni we're 2 games up. At that point, one more win should put us in a real good place. We'd just need one more win after that I think.

The only thing that matters now is tomorrow against the Blazers, just like Majesty said earlier the only thing that mattered today was New Orleans. One game at a time. There's no point guessing which games the Jazz need to lose because anything can happen in the NBA as we saw on Sunday with their win in GS. We control our own destiny again and our guys need to take advantage of it plain and simple. I woke up this morning thinking we would win both of these games on this back to back hopefully I feel that way tomorrow morning

Back in the playoffs after tonight

Utah: Minny twice, then Memphis

Us: portland, GSW, san antonio, HOU

Cant see us beating san antonio. hope we beat gsw and houston, but we'll probably split both games. we will beat portland.

utah is definitely gonna lose to memphis. Minnesota is an easy team to beat but they are bound to lose 1.

Prediction = Utah 42-38, Lakers 43-39

We just need to win out

We can absolutely beat the Spurs. Obviously we can't be as complacent as we were tonight and need to have better focus, but we can do it. Really we can win out at home and likely get in but getting a win tomorrow in portland would vastly increase our chances.

^half court teams

Like the Spurs, Indiana, Chicago, Memphis are teams we can hang with on an every day basis and are matchup nightmares for some.

Its the fast breaking second chance points break starting teams that trouble us, if we don't rebound especially.

Kobe needed to bailout the Lakers in by far the easiest game they had left. It doesn't inspire confidence at all.

I don't think they win tomorrow in their next easiest game left, and it says something that I don't feel confident in the Lakers against a team that has lost 8 straight.

The Lakers really need to raise their level of play to something we haven't seen from them all season.
