Have a bad feeling OKC will throw their game away vs Jazz on Tuesday, does it really matter for them if they get the 1 or 2 seed? Houston/Utah in 7 and 8 much weaker than us and also they've already beat the Spurs in a road series (last year). I wish the West was easy like the East, we'd be a 7th seed over there

I think OKC would rather face Utah/LA than Houston. Houston may be the best offensive team in the NBA, and can beat anybody on any night when they defend well.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious for anyone who's relatively followed them.

I would prefer to not have MDA back.. It may not happen to my liking I admit.

At best he's secured just enough rope to hang himself next year. If this team comes out of the shute next year like this year, he will be cashed.

I just hate to waste any part of Kobe time left with us. With MDA back we may piss away another half season of Kobes ever closing window.

Either that or the embarrassment of this season lights a fire for next, but that imo seems unlikely.

And the new CBA was a huge blow to this franchise. Huge. And missing out on the CP3 window thanks to Sterns BS were a massive blow.

And I won't bore you further by going into unprotected picks..

Hopefully the media will pressure him to resign like what happened in New York.

I think Melo sorta had a major hand in that, and unfortunately here, I don't see Kobe doing the same, especially since he & D'Antoni already have a long history relationship dating back to Italia.

How about Rubio sneaks a win for Gasol ?

We should take care about our games and hopefully the 8th is ours .. Utah will lose, heck i even wouldnt doubt two loses against minny.. Everything is possible ..

I doubt Utah loses to Minnesota. But for what it's worth, they haven't quit on their season. They're 6-4 in their last 10 and won vs OKC, vs Boston, and at Milwaukee.

Utah could lose both against Minni but like I said, the 9th is the be all.

We NEEd to win on that day above all else or it's over.

That loss vs the Wizards really hurts at this point. (Should have brought Pau back for the Warriors game instead)

But you can't take it back, so we gotta move forward.

I just cannot get myself to count this team out. They took a blow today, for sure. But come Tuesday if we win and Utah loses, then we're right back in the spot where we were before today. The NBA is too unpredictable to say that they're done.

I'll hold all of my optimistic offseason statements until they're out for good.

Another glass-half-empty guy...

At this point it is basically a coin-toss between Utah and LA.

What needs to happen is this:

We win the next two (vs. NOH and @Por)

Utah lose to OKC.

This isn't unrealistic at all, though i think Portland will be tough. If we win the two and Utah lose, we will be one game ahead of Utah on friday and will be in charge of our own destiny.

It was 60-40 the other way around yesterday. Friday morning we should have won 2 and Utah lost one and the Playoff-odds back to normal - which is in our favor.

I really hate this team. We could be sitting on 2 game lead if we hadn't blown those games against PHX and WAS.
