Lakers can't really take chances right now.

Only a half game up against Utah and they hold the tiebreaker.

April 1st
Portland @ Utah
April 2nd
Dallas @ Lakers

Tied: Utah has 8th seed.

April 3rd
Denver @ Utah
April 4th
Dallas @ Denver
April 5th
Memphis @ Lakers
Dallas @ Sacramento
New Orleans @ Utah

Result: Lakers up one game on Utah and three on Dallas(plus tiebreaker, Utah up two games on Utah(plus tiebreaker)

Lakers 8th Seed
Utah a game behind
Dallas out

Lakers 40-36
Utah 40-37
Dallas 37-39

More games to go.

April 7th
Lakers @ Clippers
Utah @ Golden State
Dallas @ Portland

April 9th
New Orleans @ Lakers
OKC @ Utah

April 10th
Lakers @ Portland
Phoenix @ Dallas

April 12th
Denver @ Dallas
Minn @ Utah
Golden State @ Lakers

April 14th
San Antonio @ Lakers

April 15th
Utah @ T'wolves
April 17th
Houston @ Lakers
Utah @ Memphis

Today we gotta hope Golden State takes care of business. If we beat the Clippers and Utah loses, we get a game and a half on utah, and if we lose we'd still be a half game up.

So above all else we want Golden State to beat Utah today regardless.

April 9th is the deciding game though imo.

They got OKC we got the Hornets.

If we blow it on THAT night... Then we're in deep.

SAS is a game ahead of OKC, with OKC losing to NYK. Good for the Lakers, of we end up with 8th seed

Like I said.

The only important thing about today we need to worry about is Golden State beating Utah.

The 9th is the most important night for us in terms of playoffs or not.

Assuming Tony Parker won't be 100%, the Clippers game was really their hardest remaining game.

The Lakers really have to take advantage of their next 2 games. It's their last 2 against under .500 teams. The 2nd game is the 2nd of a back to back @ Portland, but they've been really struggling.

Golden State, Oklahoma and Memphis are the games Utah should lose.. Lets hope Memphis and Clippers are still fighting for the 4th seed in the last game of the season ..

Portland and Orleans should be winnable games + get two of Spurs, Rockets and warriors..

4-1

Jazz go 3-2 and here you got the 8th seed..

And if Jazz lose to Memphis it keeps them at 2-3. Which means we can go 3-2 (NO,POR,1 WIN)

Yep. 9th is the key.

If we can't beat New Orleans on the night Utah plays OKC..I won't know wth to say.

Just win all our home games and we'll be fine it's really that simple. But yes it would be nice to nab that last road win in portland in case we happen to slip once at home in the final three games. Just need Golden State to take care of business at home against the jazz tonight and today's loss to the clippers means nothing. Let the clippers celebrate like they just won the chip. I'd be surprised if they play as well as they did today in their next game. They only looked like an elite team today cuz they got up for us as usual. Go Warriors!

If Utah beats both GS and OKC, the Lakers are in deep trouble.

Why?  Does that game count as more than one game or something.  Every game has equal weight, the entire season.  At the end of the season I don't think you get to say "well on the 9th we beat the Hornets and Utah lost to OKC, so who are we playing in the first round."  They all have the exact same value, with one exception, the 3rd game we played against Utah for the whom would hold the tiebreaker, which the Lakers lost.

Golden State sucking hard to finish the half. Hopefully they decide to play some defense in the 2nd half [expletive].

Its a one game swing on the 9th.

Even if Utah wins, the 9th still is the factor.

Neither of us has a one game lead on the other so the results of today mean nothing once the 9th happens. Like I said, that's the day that matters the most :).

Jazz will now be 1.5 games ahead.

We also have the back to back game, which The Lakers are Terrible at.

Let the fire sale begin.
Hope Nash asks for a trade this offseason.
