If we lose games because we miss layups or cause Nash has an off night(Nash shooting 15 times is something we'd all want prior to this game) he along with Kobe was even missing layups. I don't expect that often.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

ermmm that's why we're barely a playoff contender?

A few weeks ago we had "no chance of making the playoffs"

Now we're "barely a playoff contender"

Soon we'll be "just middle of the pack"

And then we'll be "lucky we got playoff matchups in our favor"

Then you'll have had faith all along :P

Right now have lakers at 48-34. Could go on a huge streak right now. Depends though how long kobe is out.

Utah's next few games aren't as bad as I thought they would be. Memphis will be playing on the 2nd night of a back to back and New York has been awful as of late.

Memphis still has a better shot of beating Utah than New York. New York has major issues.

The Lakers are still barely a playoff team. The Lakers have been a team that's barely out of the playoffs the entire season. Not that big of a difference.

Are you saying the Lakers will actually do something in the playoffs(if they even make it)? I'll genuinely be impressed if that actually happens.

If GS comes back to win it, this will ultimately be the official jinx thread. Rockets won earlier after someone posted they were losing.

In other news it was a great victory for LA tonight against Indiana without Kobe.

Houston plays both Golden State and Utah next week.

At this point, I think I'd rather have Houston win both. It would make getting the 6th seed less likely, but it would make 7th and 8th easier. And, I think Golden State and Utah are more vulnerable. The Lakers can also still get the tiebreaker against GS, and Utah has more losses already.

Yeah I agree. And there's still a decent chance we can pass Houston. Remember we can be 1 game behind them on the last day of the regular season and pass them because we own the tiebreaker via better conference record.

If we win against Sacramento and Utah loses to Menphis we get a game and a half on Utah. That's nice breathing room for now.
