Grizzlies 3rd changes things a lot !! it means if we ever advance, we dont have to deal with both clippers and denver(assuming both advance to 2nd round if clipps 3, dever 4th/5th).

Actually i hope thunder notches the first seed if this is the case.

Thunder

Spurs

Grizzlies

Clippers

Denver

Houston

Lakers

Warriors

is the ideal situation for us !!!

Lakers vs spurs(TP recovery period) , Thunder vs Warriors(OKC mostly) , Grizzlies Vs Houston, Clippers Vs Denver( threat eliminates another threat)

If Lakers,OKC,Grizzlies and Denver advance,

Lakers vs Grizz/HOU   , OKC Vs Denver( a threat eliminates another threat)

Rooting for OKC and Grizzlies now !!!!

I guess this makes things clear..

San Antonio tanking now will be bad because with our current play we might just finish 6th or 7th, most likely 7th. They might be too far away from OKC and the 3rd seed to tank after we get the 7th and they get the 2nd. Not a good idea. Always play your best ball.

Jeff Teague, Zaza Pachulia, and Josh Smith are ALL out tonight.

Atlanta forward Josh Smith out tonight because of a sore knee. Lakers not unhappy.

via Mike Bresnahan

So the Hawks are definitely without Teague/Pachulia & likely without Smith.

Watch it be a close game

I hope not. I would like a big win with some possible rest for our starters.

WAYYY too much Kobe iso down the stretch. But I guess I would take one bad game if it leads to several great games.

We should have won this game, the Hawks stole this one.

I'm not to worried. OKC is kicking Utah's ass.

Expected loss. Like I said before ORL ATL IND was expected to be 1-2 so beating either ATL or IDN puts us way ahead.

It shouldn't be expected when they're missing Josh Smith and Jeff Teague. This was a bad loss.

Well right now even with this loss my prediction from a while ago is at 47 wins. My initial prediction was 45 so my meaning is its ok to lose this one.

Wednesday's loss in Atlanta marks the 16th time in 18 attempts that the Lakers have been beaten on the road by an opponent with a winning record.

No biggie. Still 8th. Need to bounce back against Indiana and win while Utah loses. The chips can't fall in your favor EVERY night.

Kobe is hurt
Dantonie is coach
Steve Blake is playing 30+ mins a night

Lakers will not win a series

They can go on a run, beat bad teams and hang with decenct teams, but when it gets down to it, lakers will be out coached, an every other team is going to have better 1-12 talent!

We new Kobe to play at GOAT level, and Howard to get his head straight, we don't have the coach that can make the adjustments a team like this must make.

We don't have speedy or a defensive guard in league dominated by point guards. Lakers count on Kobe more then any other team in the nba counts on any player. Kobe has to carry the load offensively and guard the most dynamic wing player on the other team.

We went thru the year with no changes at all to a roster that is poorly fit to a coach hired about 50 games ago

Kobe is beyond great
Howard is a young star
Nash never was a defensive talent, but now his flaws are more evident as his time with the ball has gone down
Metta, pau and Jamison will have their places in nba history

This team is like a rough unpolished diamond, and it has stayed that way, that's the bad part

No team wants to play us in a 4 game series. I stand by that.

One loss to Atlanta doesn't change that like it does for those whose faith is shaken by one loss.

^ exactly. We weren't expecting to win all the way to mid april. 1st half was atrocious. and kobe has alot to do with it. We bounced back and couldnt take advantage in last couple of minutes.

we might win games we thought it was loses.
