I've always felt like at his prime kobe had an argument to be amongst the top ten greatest man to man defenders we've seen, at least for perimeter players. That's always been his best attribute defensively

And the exact thing I thought of when that block happened, Jordan's comment about him going left.

Yeah you know Kobe heard what MJ had to say about LBJs weakness because that was a picture perfect example of it. For me the things that will always separate Kobe from LBJ are his competitiveness, work ethic, skill level and IQ which are far superior to LBJ. Also did everyone see the cool all star jackets the players had. Damn Kobes looking like a 5 star general with all his badges on his lol.

RT @Monroe_SA: According to Tony Parker, Kobe Bryant asked to defend LeBron 1-on-1 in All-Star crunch time

Never in my life have a seen someone guard Lebron like that.
This is clearly why Kobe is in my opinion, the greatest 1 on 1 player in NBA history.

Some of these comments...

You are all aware this is an All-Star game with nothing on the line? Impressive blocks tonight, but nothing special.

Did the refs not see the ball bounce off LeBron's hand on that last block? Should have been West ball.

If Lebron went off in the 4th, the West probably wouldn't have won. Kobe's defense helped the West win as much as Paul and Durant's offensive performance. I'm sorry, but 1 point in the 4th ? Come on Lebron .. best players in the NBA do that. The best players always have that drive to win at an cause at any stage and what bigger stage than the All-Star game ? The whole world watches. I think Kobe frustrated him and he just lost that drive. It shows that Kobe can still be a great defender when he puts all his energy into defense.
