Watching some old Lakers videos and came across this one. I remember this game like it was yesterday but my god you have to just sit back and appreciate what Shaq and Kobe did to teams when they were both on. Shaq was just insane when it came to the playoffs, just a man amongst boys.

People talk about Jordan/Pippen, but Shaq and Kobe are arguably the top duo to play the game. Lebron/Wade, Durant/Westbrook, and whoever else have nothing on these two.

Enjoy!

Really reminds you of what a beast he was compared to any center in recent memory.

Shaq was 7'1, 325 pounds. The closest guy in terms of weight for centers might be Al Jefferson who is around 285. Shaq was just a truck lol

Greatest Dynamic Duo in the history of NBA and will always stay that way.

Here is a little statsheet from our 3-peat run. Only playoff games are shown in which Kobe and Shaq both scored 20+. In those 39 games, we were 34-5 (0.872 winning percentage).

Shaq had averaged 30.1 ppg and 14.4 rpg. Kobe was 28.7 - 6.4 - 4.7

In home games Shaq had 32.2 ppg , Kobe had 26.8 ppg (19 games)
In away games Shaq had 28 ppg , Kobe had 30.6 ppg (20 games)

Makes me wish they stayed together for longer... But I guess what happened was meant to happen in order for kobe to grow up and realise his potential as a leader

Jesus I almost forgot how good Shaq could be. Seeing young Kobe is always nice, but kind of bittersweet because you know he's going to hang it up ver soon.

This is why I laugh when people say dwight could be better than Shaq. No one can dominated like shaq and no one probably will ever again. The guy was a pure monster down low in his prime.

Are you kidding me. You know how many people on this board were saying dwight would be better than shaq when he came here.

Please point them out so we can all laugh together at them in unison. ahah I like dwight a lot, but no one in the right mind could think he would dominate like shaq.

No one said Dwight was better than Shaq. But people did say (myself included) Dwight is more dominate on the defensive end.
