Center Dwight Howard: You’re almost unredeemable at this point. I’m not sure what’s worse — your immaturity, petulance, hypocritical nature or the outright lies you tell.

lol you do know the lakers still are making a [expletive] ton of money. Even when lakers lose lakers still make a good chunk of change.NoKnife, the only thing we dont agree on is the GM's responsibility for all this. its easy enough to start cleaning house now and stockpile the draft picks, then sort out in a year or so whether Mitch stays or goes.
Wonder what Time Warner execs must be thinking just about now ...
I'd be seriously talking about an offer to buy the team to try to save my tv contract investment.

From Nash/Blake to Duhon/Morris is a HUGE downgrade.
Meeks has some DNP CDs , I still can't explain, and I think we lost lost games not playing our best available guys which includes Jamison for a long stretch. That can be blamed partially on coaching.
Pau Gasol played early in the season in games where he should have sit down. That hurt us and we lost games based on Pau's poor defense in the 4th quarters of close games. I remember when Iso against Pau was the only play utah called for a long period of the game. That hurt us.
In this Grammy Trip alone, we went from Dwight to Pau to Dwight as our starting center.
I don't CARE if our name is LALA. I don't care if we have a the highest payroll( we also have contracts from an OLD CBA : Kobe, Metta, gasol make more than they would in new system)
I don't care about expectations, because we didn't see the team we paid for.
Dwight's back makes him not as explosive, and he came into the season not in basketball shape so his stamina is not going to be there like it will , if he gets a full off-season this season.
His Labrum has affected his play.
And to me: JORDAN HILL, was our biggest loss. Not because he is better than Pau or anything like that. But when you win a title, certain guys really change games, and Jordan Hill was THAT guy.
I think the Rudy t year was WAy worst though.
Firstly, you had a BUNCh of bad contracts. Kobe and lamar ENDED the season INJURED. It was a bunch of REAL GARBAGE on this team.
Not guys like Nash,Pau,Jamison and Dwight. Guys like Atkins, Jermaine Jones, and etc.
I think we had the type of season we have had to shake our head for other teams.
Teams like Portland, teams like Houston and the CLIPPERS.
Where you are watching from a distance and guys KEEP going in and out and honestly it reminds me of New York the past two seasons.
The only concern with that is D'Antoni was there too.

Not to seem insensitive about Jerry Buss passing, but what makes this year even more crappy is in the result of Dr. Buss's demise Jimmy boy takes over with an iron fist.

Yes, you missed the point. I ws not talking about the Lakers financials, they are doing just fine thanks to the cable company. Time Warner paid how much for the tv rights? And how do they recoup those $?lol you do know the lakers still are making a [expletive] ton of money. Even when lakers lose lakers still make a good chunk of change.

Definitely the worst. There are honestly no positives I can think of, there is nothing redeeming about this season at all.
We found a good player in Earl Clark.....
Yup that's it

And you know what?
The last reason you posted makes everything else irrelevant.
Things are bigger than a game. Dr. Buss being sick should put stuff in perspective for many fans who [expletive] and moan after every loss.

As for OP's post this season is possibly more sad than the post-Shaq era.

Worst season ever, might be close actually. At least I the 30+ years I've been following the team.

The Rudy T year was bad, but we went in knowing it was going to be bad...
We thought things were going to be bad with Mike Brown... But he was fired, and things got worse with Dantonie...
I still think this is salvagable...
Maybe Ebanks can have a Clark type breakout...
Maybe we sign a combo guard that can play defense...
Dwight gets healthy, and pau returns...
I think we can still win it all this year...
Thats what makes this season the worst ever... Cause the talent is there... but the right pieces around them are not, and the coach is wrong...
