I would not be heartbroken at all if he left or is traded.

I do feel bad for the guy cause he's a genuinely happy guy and seems like a good guy in general, but he needs to learn how to grow up. This isn't the regular Dwight Howard from years past, but the question is, with one major back surgery under his belt, will we ever see that Dwight again?
Lots of questions surrounding this. Many say trade him, many say keep him. As of right now, it doesn't look like the Lakers will trade him and I think that's the right decision to show loyalty to him in a very tough season. That will hopefully count for something as we get to the offseason. The Lakers want to show Dwight they are committed to him and thats how it should be right now.
There's no possible deal out there that really gives the Lakers incentive for trading him. The potential financial gain from having Dwight in the P&G really outweighs any potential player we could realistically get.

It's no secret that Dwight Howard still wants to play for the Nets. If the Nets were an option this summer, he'd walk. However, they're not.

If Dwight REALLY wanted to go to Brooklyn, he could. All he has to do is let Mitch know that isn't going to re-sign and that he only would re-sign with the Nets. His image would take a hit, again, but no-one would care once the 2013-14 season kicks off. I know D-Will is telling Brook Lopez that he's safe, but if there is a chance for them to land Dwight, they would jump on it.

Very clever cop out way of saying "when Dwight resigns with the Lakers it's not cause he "really wants to" so I won't be wrong."
Wonder who's gonna buy that instead of see it for what it is.
Watch, I can do that.
It's no secret Kyrie Irving wants to win a title, if he was a free agent this summer he'd leave Cleveland but because no teams with cap space have a shot to win a title he'll likely stay.
That's fun!
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often
