Does it sound like she has a little bit more say in running the team?Jeanie Buss will continue to serve as president of business operations of the Lakers. She will also serve as the Laker's representative for the board of governor's and league meetings. Jimmy will take over the basketball side.
Dr. Jerry Buss has passed away at the age of 80

It deepends. John Black said that Jerry's trust has been made to set-up all his children. Three of his children have the biggest involvement with the Lakers (Joey - Defenders, Jimmy - Basketball, Jeanie - Business). I would assume that since Jeanie is acting as the president of the business side and the representative for the Lakers, she may be considered as the CEO. But John Black made is very clear that Jimmy and Mitch will continue to do what they do from a basketball stand point, and Jeanie will do what she does from a business standpoint.Does it sound like she has a little bit more say in running the team?
It makes me wonder how it works though, since there were reports a couple weeks ago saying Jimmy and Jeanie haven't been talking to each other. They have to talk to each other now, because each side depends on the other. The business side depends on the basketball side of the operations to put the best possible product on the floor. The basketball side depends on the business side to see how much money of available do they have to spend.

The last conversation that we had. Because I was trying to encourage him, and he was feeling good that day. I was trying to encourage him to come down to the opening game and just come down to the court. Because he would never come down to the court. I said ‘Come down to the court and let these people of Los Angeles give you the love that you deserve. Let them just one time give you a standing ovation, the applause, just everything that you deserve for everything that you have done.’ He said ‘I normally wouldn’t do that but actually I would like to do that.’ I think that will be the one thing that I take from it.”

“Today, in the world of sports, we have lost a true giant. Jerry Buss was more than just an owner. He was one of the great innovators that any sport has ever encountered. He was a true visionary and it was obvious with the Lakers in the 80’s that ‘Showtime’ was more than just Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It was really the vision of a man who saw something that connected with a community. I was privileged to be part of that for 10 years and even more grateful for the friendship that has lasted all these many years. I have always come to realize that if it weren’t for Dr. Buss, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I owe my start in professional coaching to him, and I will always hold him and his memory in the highest of regards. Chris and I truly love Jerry Buss. He was a great friend and will be missed.”

P.S.
Does anyone know what's that pinting behind Dr. Buss here, in the "Remembering Jerry Buss" vid narrated by ESPN's Shelley Smith?
