Don't need him.
Technically, you're right West Coast. The Lakers don't need him but having a back up PG like Bynum would do wonders for the bench. He does everything Blake doesn't do well. He can finish well at the rim, a pretty good on ball defender and his dribble penetration would make the bench dangerous. The Lakers are lacking players aside from Kobe and Nash who can penetrate and create something. I've seen this guy absolutely destroy Miami and other teams this season and he has had games like that in past seasons also. He's a very solid basketball player. With all of that being said, I doubt that Detroit would want anything from the Lakers. Lol.

The guy we need to get is Rodeny Stuckey not Will Bynum. Stuckey can play PG/SG we're set at PG, we just need another SG/SF type and a nother big man
Go after martell webster then with Hill's exception.
But will Bynum..mmeh well..he's goos but Blake does just fine at backup for us, does what he's supposed to do and it works well.
Stuckey would be nice but idk if the kings would bite.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

Has Stuckey been traded from the Pistons to the Kings?
I like your Webster idea tho.

To me this is a no brainer.Blake has an injury RIGHT now that can come back at any time.
Blake has been playing well though, but Bynum can attack the basket. He would be like having Sessions back. His speed, plus his toughness, it's the BEST move for us to make.
Think about this lineup
Nash-Kobe-Metta-Clark Dwight
Bynum-Meeks, Kobe,-Jamison-Clark
Ideally we would get a combo guard like Delonte West put Will Bynum is the one guy I thought we COULD get and I hope we do.
The thing speed does, is score easy baskets and he makes the whole team faster.
Bynum, Meeks, Jamison, Clark and Dwight would be a playoff team under D'Antoni (in the East)
Mitch , PLEASE do it

That's nothing really to write home about. Every bench player kicks our ass.
I'm not saying he's a bad player, but he's not what we need. He's a scoring point guard who doesn't have much of an offensive game if that makes sense, he can't shoot the three ball, has limited playmaking abilities, and can't play defense.
Would I complain if we got him? No because our point guard situation is that bad but I don't think he should be a priority right now.
Our main concern should be moving Metta to the bench or trading him to bring in a quality SF that can score the ball and who is athletic enough to get up and down the floor.

I rate Will Bynum, I think he would be great as a backup PG that you could groom into a excellent starter.
At 30 years old, how long could you groom him?
