I was about to take Max's side here... then I remembered, when the Lakers hired MDA, he said something like: "Hey, Phil's gotta be your 1st option not matter what, but if for some reason you don't get him, MDA is the second best you can get" LOL

D'Antoni is the WORST coach the Lakers could have gotten and will NEVER, EVER win a championship!

Max tried to be positive. I don't know if they could have gotten a better coach than D'Antoni. I don't think Sloan was ever an option, maybe McMillan or Jeff Van Gundy, but none of those are clearly better than D'Antoni. I understood his point of trying to both win and be exciting, but he underestimated how poorly the team would fit this system.

Max and Marcellus is 10 times the show that Mason and Ireland is. They've been hilarious and interesting basically since Day 1. The argument got ugly when Ireland said that "everybody in the building hates you, Max" - that's just a really low blow. But even if it's true, I'd take a great radio personality like Max over a "nice guy" like John Ireland any day. Go back to putting on your makeup, John.

dont see the issue? but fun radio. I stopped listening because its mostly commercials with some laker talk in between. Didnt know they were moved no wonder this one time my satellite radio wasn't working i heard Max and Macellus on at around 5 pm thought it was odd.
