After now seeing all the candidates and all the non-candidates, as weird as it sounds, my favorite movie this year was "Cabin In The Woods" followed closely by "Silver Linings Playbook".

Cabin in the woods was great. So was Expendables 2. Im biased as I go to a couple of movies a week. Obviously by my post, my taste is suspect at best.
