Stat padding at it's worst.
You usually don't see vets doing this though. Most of the time it's a young player trying to score a quick steal and dunk before times expires, but it's rare to see a vet do this.

I was watching the Raptors beatdown on the CP3less Clippers. The Raptors were at 98 points, 2 more points and the crowd gets a free slice of pizza, but being up so much and with less than 24 seconds left to play, you dribble out the clock...queue Caron Butler. He gives Jonas Valanciunas a handshake, then rips the ball off of him and tries to score, but gets fouled. The foul actually got called as a clear path foul. Pretty cheap and classless by Caron. It's not over until it's over? No, it was over long ago.
The veteran doing that to a rookie. Classy...
But the Clippers just have a sense of entitlement. It was there last year, it's there this year.
If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

I remember Michael Smith saying "there's a lesson for the rookie". Smh. What's the lesson? That with 3 seconds left in an absolute blowout the other team is going to try to trick you into a cheap turnover? Bush league, Caron.
That Smith dude and the other old dude that says "Bingo!" are up there as some of the most biased announcers in the NBA. Absolute homers.

The worst....I can't listen to them. That Smith dude and the other old dude that says "Bingo!" are up there as some of the most biased announcers in the NBA. Absolute homers.
1. I've heard them say Bledsoe is as good as Westbrook
2. They said Blake Griffin is going to be shooting like Dirk
3. They said Blake Griffin is Dirk/Malone combined.
