If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

I think they will. The good news is from what I saw we lost cuzz of reasons other than system failures (or lack of having a system)..lolIt's one game. Let's see if they can bounce back Friday.
We just didnt shoot the ball well last night.
A win would be surprising in any game where we shoot 40%.
We need to hang around 44-47% to be in games late.
And we blew it ourselves in the 4th. Our 4th qt shooting was atrocious.
We shot 4-16 in the 4th. And it wasnt because of the PHX defense...lol.
Do that in any game vs any team....and we lose 9 of 10 times.
And it was a combo of everyone missing. KB, Pau, Clark, Ron and Nash. It was almost equally horrid...lol
The bad news is:
Utah won so we lost a game on the 7 seed.
The good news is:
Houston lost so we didnt lose ground on the 8th seed at all.

It's more than just missing shots. What they've been doing the last 3 games disappeared in the final minutes. Kobe held onto the ball too long and the rest of the team started watching.I think they will. The good news is from what I saw we lost cuzz of reasons other than system failures (or lack of having a system)..lol

Man I wish we had beasley last year at the deadline lol
The stuff that came out of the Minny lockerroom regarding Beasley was pretty bad. He looked like all- world last night, the guy has always had talent, its the other stuff that has caused him to bounce from team to team.

His lack of maturity has been his glass ceiling so far in his career.
Many escapades detailed here (http://www.sbnation....ts-kansas-state)
He's a wonderful offensive player but he's gotta grow up. What's he, 26? Maybe he's still got time to turn it around

He has always been a toker from what I understand. I know he has been arrested a few times for possession, some rehab time, the usual. He has a reputation of being a laid back "whatever" kind of guy. Sort of like Lamar, but cares even less. The Minny teammates, IIRC, were gald to see him go because he is just not competitive night in and night out, and they didnt want to see his attittude rub off on the younger/ new guys. Huge talent that is just being wasted from what I can see. He has an occasional night like last night that shows his talent, then disappears again.

Miami, for example, is only slightly better than .500 on the road. The best road team seems to be San Antonio which is 16-9.
Minnesota, Detroit, and Brooklyn coming up. Two of those three are playoff teams (Detroit and Brooklyn) although Detroit doesn't play very well at home. Minnesota is a decent team but probably not playoff bound. These are tough games.
The trip ends up with Boston and the Heat. Boston is suddenly beatable and sits at the bottom of the East. The Heat, well, the Heat are the Champions.
Bottom Line: 3 of the 5 are very beatable--Detroit, Minnesota, and Boston.
We will see what we see. I think this trip defines whether the miracle turnaround we saw at Staples was indeed a new Laker team or merely an aberation. If they can't plull off 3 wins out of this road trip, time is running out for the team.

If they play just better than average basketball from here on out, they will not get to 45 wins, which might be the cutoff for that coveted 8th seed.
This road trip really defines the team in my judgment.

For 42 minutes, the Lakers played the right way. Then I think they got tired and without Dwight or Jordan , we have no one to intimidate guys from penetrating.
