Bill Simmons would LOVE him some Pau Gasol. Despite Pau's struggles for most of the season including even many occasions in the past several years especially the playoffs, for some reason, Simmons hardly picks at him.

Aside from that and actually importantly for us, as mentioned, I'm all for this as well mainly for the fact of how young Rudy is & then pairing him up with another relatively young still in Dwight would be fantastic. We get younger while at the same time adding a star bordering on potentially super-star (if he really wanted to) for the future. This is a no-brainer from my point of view.

I think Josh Smith would be a better fit, and he would take a discount to play with Dwight, who he is bestfriends with.

IDK about that. Smith is a defensive terror but a real drag on offense. He shoots 42 percent as a PF and shoots jumpers that he can't make wayyyyyy too often.

I would like Gay as a Laker. I'm just not optimistic about it cus the Lakers don't seem like they want to add more salary. But we'll see.

His twitter says he's an ESPN radio reporter from Memphis, seems pretty legit

You mean the same ESPN that essentially held a Brooklyn nets press conference for dwight Howard

Well stein says talks happned and vermon said nothing took. Being that there has been no trade I would assume he's right. Rumors usually come out after the talks happened

Simmons would rather point to Kobe (and to an extent D'Antoni) as being the cause for Gasol's ills, and forget the way Pau has played in NBA Action since April 2011.
