Steve Kerr Says Trade Dwight

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.

So what is the solution at this point. Keep the roster intact and hope for a late push. Trade Pau? Dwight? Nash?In the other topic, you talk about one-dimensional players. Most shooters ARE just that...and a great deal of shooters are also poor defenders (Novak, Korver, Morrow, Gibson, Allen, Dunleavy, Martin, Fredette, Lamb, Calderon, Mason, Gordon, Douglas, Mills, Miller, Telfair...the list goes on). It's tougher to find a Jared Dudley, or a Shane Battier or Raja Bell (who are now over the hill and aren't great defensively).
The fact is, both Nash and D'Antoni are also one-dimensional...Nash in regards to the type of system he can play in, and D'Antoni in regards to the type of system he can coach.
When we got Nash, I made it clear that we could not run this offense. He would have to adjust...to throw less assists, BUT learn to play off of our two superstars as our absolute best shooter (50/40/90). He didn't stay healthy...and by the time he found his way back on the court, Mike D'Antoni was waiting on the bench, big grin and all, ready to run an offense that forced THREE of our best players (Kobe, Dwight and Gasol) to change for ONE of ours...who is also the oldest of the bunch.
Big mistake, that we made, and it will continue to cripple us.

Trade Pau, MWP, Jamison, & Nash
Change the old slow man culture & get young athletes & spot up/ catch & shoot players.

Nash needs more shots

That's because he has a [expletive]ty head coach
Nash needs more shots
Nash has to take more shots. It aint about him needing more shots. he has the ball in his hands damn near 16 secs of the clock so he got plenty of ops to shoot = but he rather do his over dribbling into a turnover or waste the majority of the clock & throw it to Kobe for a terrible look. We need a dynamic athletic guard that can score & put pressure on opposing team. Nash cant do this. Without any shooters NAsh hurts this team more than he helps them. Turnovers maybe down overall for the team but we are losing regardless

I would love to see him shoot more but as a PG I'd rather him get the offense going.

Dwight is gonna have to stop turning over the ball when he gets his touches.

Sad thing is, Mike Brown had the right idea.

No
Running triangle plays for Kobe and Pau was right. Running 4 out 1 in with Dwight(especially when Meeks was in) was the right idea. And actually having Kobe and Dwight set up Nash for shots(which Nash was still getting used to) was right. Where he was wrong was putting in too much Princeton and playing Ebanks over Meeks and basically overcoaching and overcomplicating things. But his 'basic' idea of running 4 out 1 in with dwight, triangle with kobe and pau, and having Kobe and Dwight setting up Nash were all on point. Because honestly those are pretty much the 3 offenses we'd have to run to get the best out of everyone. Dwight is best in a 4 out 1 in scenario to feed Meeks, Kobe, Nash. Kobe and Pau running triangle here and there. Nash expanding his game beyond pick and roll. If D'antoni just broke down that to its simplest, like Bernie did

The Brooklyn Nets are preparing to make another run at Dwight Howard, according to a source.

More rumors that winning cures. Doubt he'd go there. Pau would be gone way before they let things get so bad that Dwight would want to leave.
And besides with the contract to Lopez what the heck would that eave them with? Sounds like BS to me

And the lakers will laugh in their face and say no because the nets still have nothing to offer

King wants a Love to Lakers, Dwight to BKN, and Lopez to Wolves apparently.
Don't like Love, but it's better than Lopez's contract. Personally, I'd prefer young talents and draft picks
