Doubtful, these guys are slugs as far as motivation goes.

I haven't heard word one of anger or some kind of let's get off our butts inspiration from anyone. This team accepted their fate in mid-December and they've let it infiltrate their psyches.

If 6 games below 500 and being the 12th seed in the West hasn't sparked anything., nothing will.

This team has no heart whatsoever, none.

That's how I feel when I watch them. Simple plays could change the course of the games. SPRINTING when rotating on defense, not just pointing at the guy and letting him get right to the rim or hit an open three without closing out. Talking on defense, rolling hard to the basket on pick and rolls, etc. It's basketball 101.

If I were on this team I'd be embarrassed. Making millions of dollars, playing for the highest profile team in the world surrounded by all-star caliber players, and a garbage record. Just got smacked by the Toronto Raptors. I know the final was close, but the game was never truly in reach except towards the end of the second quarter. No energy, no effort. Getting outplayed routinely by lesser opponents.

It's time to let it go. Almost at the halfway point of the season and the Lakers are finding new lows with each passing week.

The second option should read "Not yet, I'm delusional" because that's what you'd have to be at this point. This team doesn't hustle, doesn't play hard, doesn't play with heart and they sure as hell don't care.

The time for optimism is long gone.

Be realistic, this team in now way will go 2-2. And even if they do, that does them no good besides keep them in the pit they dug or themselves.
