This is the trade that could happen
Rudy is best friends with Paul
Bledsoe is unhappy as a bench player and he's unhappy his name got brought up in trades
So r the clippers more dangerous with gay
Or with butler and Bledsoe
And is Memphis more dangerous with Bledsoe and Gordon
Are the Clippers more dangerous with Gay or Bledsoe and Butler?

Gay is a great player but I don't think he'll co exist well with the Clippers.
Primarily being is Gay is a quantity shooter and scorer and isn't really spot up shooter.
Players like Caron help spread the floor perfectly for Jordan and Griffin and I don't think Gay could bring that.
Plus it wouldn't seem to work out financially for the Clippers in the long run either.

Bledsoe wouldn't start on the Grizzlies. Conley is a solid PG.

Clippers would ruin a lot moving forward if they traded away key contributors. I would keep the team intact. But then again, it's the clippers and they have to ruin everything.

Rudy Gay in that system that the Clippers use with Chris Paul as his point guard is bad. Bad for us and the rest of the Western conference.
Bledsoe is a 6'1" scoring guard. He's replaceable. Billups will start practicing next week and he's more than capable of filling that backcourt role. He did it last year.
Caron Butler is aging. He's having one of his worst seasons, and you could argue it's because he's not getting as much minutes, but it's evident to everyone that he's lost a step, and the injuries have hurt him. Barnes is the better fit at this point.
Only downside is ruining something perfectly fine. But this makes the Clippers more dangerous in a 7-game series. No question.

i'll choose bledsoe and butler.
rudy is known to disappear when the moments get big and we already have a player than can create his own shot in crawford. bledsoe's PER is amazing for coming off the bench, second to only to Chris Paul and his defense and intensity is a huge part of the second unit. he is happy with the team and his role. i don't know where that unhappy report is from. butler is also the team's best three point shooter percentage-wise and has already had 2 30+ points per game on the team. he's good right now. i wouldn't do the trade.

Rudy Gay on the Clippers would seal their trip to the Finals this year.
Athleticism at the 3 and able to swing to the 2, that would send them over the top right now. If Memphis called and offered that I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.
