The only way MDA goes is if the fans make him extremely in uncomfortable to the point where he resigns.

For the millionth time - Pau and odom finished games during the two chips. Paus decline was precipitated when odom was shipped and Bynum got the low post (and #2 status) and Pau got relegated to the high post.
People seem to forget that fact

Even Pau can't coexist with himself.Pau cant play with gasol? Lol
Pau's inability to play with another post player at center was foreshadowed years ago. Back in the 2010 season, Bynum had a stretch where he was playing very, very well. Pau's numbers went into decline during that time. It was only when Bynum went down with a knee injury again that Pau's numbers went back up, and then after Bynum came back, Phil basically had Bynum play as a role player working on defense and rebounding, while Pau got most of the touches down on the low block. Pau NEVER coexisted with Bynum, and that became more than apparent last year with Bynum's emergence.

People keep sayin pau can't play with gasol, havin 2 big men on the floor 2gether isn't workin....people must have 4got Bynum was a big man. What's so different about gasol n Bynum vs gasol n d12??? With Bynum they were a helluva team and they CAN be with d12....its the system....mda has 2 go!
Well LAkers didnt win no Titles with Bynum & Pau on court together dominating! They won with Pau on the court working dynamic duo with Kobe. La had their most success with Bynum on the bench in street clothes. When Bynum was playing at good level = Lakers were losing early in playoffs.
So it does not work & will not work with D12 cuz Pau is terrible on defense & not athletic.

The reason Pau and Gasol can't co-exist now is mainly because of D'Antoni's system and partially because of Pau's declining athleticism. If this was 2007-2010 Pau it would be different.
Our season was over when Jimboy passed on Phil. The triangle would have worked well with Pau and Dwight. We could have slowed the game down, pummeled opponents (Miami) in the post, and played methodically. Oh well...

Finally a voice of reason and insight

People overstate how Pau and Bynum didn't play together in our championship runs. It's true that LO finished games, but we used to start games brutally effectively in the first quarters with Pau and Bynum playing volleyball on the offensive glass and interior passing leading to a lot o dunks.

Pau and Bynum Co existed because Bynum was hurt much of the time

Gasol didn't average over .500 from the field, for his CARRER by shooting twenty-footers and threes!
Move Gasol to the post and Howard to the perimeter and then let me know how it goes...
The Lakers signing D'Antoni (when they could have gotten Phil or Sloan, both great fits!) will surely go down as one of the worst moves in franchise history!
