Smith is suspended for Wednesday's game for conduct detrimental to the team.

Who would've thought that the Lakers WOULD'VE landed him for Pau 4-5 months ago. Hawks were ready to deal him, but the Lakers got greedy and wanted Teague as well. They bit off more than they can chew, and now they're stuck with Gasol, who's not a good fit in D'Antoni's system

Smith is still a locker-room cancer, though

Josh Smith's Agent Meets With Ferry

Josh Smith's agent spoke with Danny Ferry on Wednesday to discuss his client's "frustration" with the Atlanta Hawks' recent spiral.
"As far as moving forward and whatever changes will be made, that's more so management's job to field those calls and make the decisions they feel like are best to move forward," Smith's agent, Wallace Prather, told CBSSports.com.
Prather stopped short of requesting a trade.
Smith will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
The Hawks have conducted trade talks centered on Smith with multiple teams, according to NBA executives.

Chemistry won't be an issue with Kobe and Nash making sure he doesn't act up and his buddy Howard here to make him that much happier.
You talk about him being clueless on offensive....and Pau isn't. Pau has been trash. Pau for Josh Smith in a heartbeat. Smith does everything we need at the 4 ( besides spreading the floor, his jumper is average). Pau for Josh smith is a steal.....start using your brain kid.

eh id rather trade pau for a depth we dont really need another all star as much as we need depth. Maybe we can trade gasol to ATL Josh to another team that could land us a couple defenders in our team. We need a consistent 6th man
