I'm an Eagles fan but don't follow college football. I know Oregon has been one of the top teams in the past year, but how does this guy work? Does he work a well balanced offense? I don't want another Reid who doesn't like running the ball.
He runs a spread attack which includes heavy read option.
I'm not sure if he'll do it the same as he did in Oregon but teams like the Seahawks are implementing pieces of that system already and have had success.
McCoy will be a very good piece in that offense as well DeSean Jackson. I'm interested to see what they do at QB though.

Anyways, I don't think he'll be a successful NFL Coach but we'll see.

Yeah I figured explosive guys would flourish under his system from what I heard and which is exactly the reason why they're debating whether to keep Vick or not.
At the Eagles forum I'm in, they're comparing his offense similar to what the Pats run. Its also gonna be interesting to see who he's gonna select to be a part of his staff. We're praying for Lovie Smith as DC over there

I don't see Lovie Smith becoming anything other than another Head Coach... I doubt he'd be a DC for Chip Kelly.
Agreed. Especially considering how he has no NFL experience and I'm not sure he knows anybody. But who knows...

I am going on the record calling Chip Kelly one of the worst hires in pro football history.

Mariotta, Oregon's QB is not Cam Newton or RG3 but he got it done, and Kenjon Barner got it done running the ball, that could easily be our Shady, he'll surely thrive on this system, Chip loves to run the football.
We just need to find a steady QB, doesnt have to be a Cam Newton or RG3, just someone who isnt as slow as Peyton running with the football.
Im more worried about the defense TBH, Chip needs to get those defensive players to buy into his system, otherwise we will suck again

I think its a good hire provided he makes some adjustments for the pro game.

kelly's fast paced offense will likely wear down his defense.

We'll see the adjustments he makes. I saw a statistic the other day of the fastest times from play call to play call and the Patriots ran plays every 24 seconds. At Oregon, Kelly's teams ran plays every 20 seconds.
I'm intrigued to see how it translates to the NFL game. Oregon was fast, but in the NFL, its all about speed and power.
