Every team needs time to gel. We've had none. I said the Nash contract was crazy and I got crucified. I don't have a problem with the cash in the Laker contracts, I have a problem with the length of time. 3 years for a 38 year old?? I don't care if he was Magic Jason Stockton!! I don't give 38 year olds 3 year 25 - 30 million dollar deals. As much as I think Delonte is an AHOLE, we'd be doing just as well right now and still putting butts in seats or Sessions for that matter. I understand if you have a chance to get Nash, you just do it but DAMN!!

First we have to make the playoffs.

It would just feel worse if we'd get Hill back for the playoffs and then NOT make the playoffs.

True, but potentially good news nonetheless

Good news
No room for him in current rotation, but, if injuries continue, who knows

He should be on the lakers playoff roster if they get that far

As amazing as World Peace's recovery was, Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said several weeks ago it would take a "miracle" for Jordan Hill to return this season.

Hill, who has been out since January following left hip surgery, will have his hip examined in Nashville on Wednesday by Dr. Thomas Byrd, who performed the operation.

"Just a check up to see where we are at," Hill's agent, Kevin Bradbury, told ESPNLosAngeles.com.

Hill resumed elliptical workouts last month and said he hoped to be eligible to return by late April or early May if he were cleared.

With rotation of Howard, Gasol , Jamison and Clark it lessens the need for Hill ..But would be nice to see more of Clark at the 3 by then plus his unbelievable effort which i would say he'd need time to be where he was at the beginning of the season.. His return shouldnt be pushed though !!

This season we dont need Hill with both Pau and Howard being 5s and Clark, Pau, Jamison and Metta being able to play the 4.

However, next season Hill is vital.

Either as a back-up 5, which makes it possible to move Pau solid 3, and have a Clark/Jamison/Hill rotation at the 4.

OR as a trade chip. He is the best offensive rebounder in the league, is young, athletic, can play both front-court spots, and is cheap.

The lineup of Blake, Kobe, Clark, Jordan and Dwight. This would be the best defensive lineup we had in years and maybe the most competitive. Replace Steve with a better defender( hint: delonte west) and Kobe/Dwight + the bench would kill everybody. On the other we can have one of the three, Clark, Jordan and Dwight, every time Nash is on the floor and he would be a less of a liabilitt on the defensive end. But first lets nake the play-offs.

Kobe said Clippers' offensive rebounding the other night showed how Lakers miss @jordanchill43. Is it possible ...

for Hill to come back this season? He is recovering from hip surgery and is seeing his surgeon and head of therapy today and tomorrow, and the Lakers aren't forming an updated timetable for him until he finishes the exams tomorrow. It had not been considered very likely he'd come back this season, especially with Mike D'Antoni's penchant for going small.

But Hill tweeted today: "Check up went good...i will start back running in a week and jumping in a week and see how things go"

Would be huge to have him back on the team to start the playoffs with, 5 minute spurts a half can do wonders with the 2nd unit.

He won't be back.

Hill is a good young player, but I wouldn't rely on him with his injury history.
