It's a pity the Lakers are wasting Kobe's greatest year ever in terms of scoring efficency. However, Kobe's D is the worst I've seen from him in the last 10 years.

I remember reading somewhere that the previous highest was Reggie Miller who was averaging 14 and some change at 33-34

He would've been able to, if he didn't have that early retirement in 1993. At 34-35 years old, Jordan averaged 29 PPG.

Tack on those extra two seasons, and then add two more (he would have been 36-37 in his 17th season), he would have been able to average 20+ easily. At 40 years old, he averaged that in Washington.

Knees were pretty bad, who's to say he wouldn't have had a Karl Malone moment if he would have kept going...You just never know

IDK, two more years of pounding on those bad knees might not have allowed him to don that Wizards jersey. At the end he was playing on pride & skill.

he lollygags far too much on d playing passing lanes more than anything else. He has usually always given up the 3 to players. too much help defense instead of focusing on his man. but if needed he can check some1 for a quarter

vs okc in 1st half it seemed like no matter who kobe guarded they scored a tuff turn around on him = dumb luck
