Thought it was aimed at Dwight, because he is so religious...Phil slightly insinuating that he is, indeed, Jesus Christ.

Think he is just being facetious.

Everyone needs to get healthy & the team must be clicking on all cylinders. Playing like that, they can beat anyone. I really don't want to see them stumble into the playoffs & possible get ran out the building by OKC or (gulp) The Clippers.
The thing is, if they make the playoffs now, they won't stumble into the playoffs, they'll be playing good basketball.

I wouldnt have made a username like that if I knew most people didnt have a sense of humor and actually took it seriously. Not to mention the mod(you) was on his period. Now stop derailing and tell these fools that if kobe didnt choke first half we wouldve beat the spurs.Watch your mouth...HeatFanSince2010.

^They "can make the playoffs" and they "have the talent" is not the same as predicting that they will make the playoffs. Word semantics of which Phil is a master. He chose carefully so that he would be accurate and others could (mis)interpret as they choose.
Oh most definitely. That's why I love The Zen Master, always kept it interesting.

So true.Weak.
For Kobe being your idol, you sure don't follow what he's about. He'd be disgusted with you.
You really should, it being in the spirit of Laker tradition relevancy & all. So fitting. This is brilliant.

Years go, when it was well known that Jimmy Johnson wanted the Miami Dolphins coaching job, he predicted on television that they would in the Super Bowl. Of course they didn't, and JJ was the Dolphins' HC the next season.
Phil is highlighting that the Lakers should be able to do this, given the talent. If talent is not the issue, then what is the problem?
