Meh never really cared for his music. Was getting annoyed of seeing him every 5 minutes last night during Grammys
At least he has talent than unlike the majority of the winners in his usual category he would be nominated in for the past couple years. I respect JT music, its fun, funky, sometimes innocent, adult, just what mainstream type of music needs. I've seen him twice live, and hes a great entertainer.

That's exactly what I don't think. His voice isn't great to me and his music is typical pop R&B to me.
This is just my opinion though I'm not saying what I say is word born.

ummmm, sorry guys so far I think its fantastico.
Dont crucify his project because its different. The dude came innovative.
If I wanted to hear another same old r&b/pop song I'd bump Chris Brown or Justin bieber or someone like that.
JT came correct and original. I think its going to do well with his target genre thats probably 25+ years or older.

It's funny cuz that's why I don't like it. I don't think it's different I think it is typical R&B

i'm not sure what to say to those who don't feel JT... i definitely respect your tastes, but this is nothing like the other bull[expletive] mainstream r&b out nowadays.
to me, JT, frank ocean, and miguel are taking r&b and making it their own. it's not the same cut & paste r&b we're hearing from other mainstream artists like trey songz, biebz, and (i hate to say it but...) usher among other artists

I hate pop r&b and even usher is guilty of trying that [expletive]. Trey songz is terrible
Haven't listened to any of the new guys like miguel and ocean (isn't he gay?)

Usher pawning JT is a matter of taste, but I can't deny that my way, 8701, and confession are classics. His last 2 albums are lame attempts at keeping up with fads, I only really liked "this ain't sex" on here I stand.
And yea, frank ocean is bisexual, but his take on r&b is refreshing and his sexual preference shouldn't influence your decision to listen to him
