Evans' game was destroyed when whoever it was in Sacramento decided that he should play off the ball. 20 ppg/6apg/5rpg as the primary ball-handler his rookie year. He needs the ball to be effective. Obviously.

Perfect guy for our 2nd unit .. even though I do believe at full strength, he is a starter in today's league.

He can score off the dribble and create his own shot--two things we are in desperate need of. Look at all the elite teams in the league this season--multiple players that can go into iso situations, put the ball on the floor and either get to the free throw line or score.

Now, there's a lot of players better than Evans, (and cheaper than him in terms of value) that can do this for us, but if you can get him, you do it. He would be great, getting him here would be the tough part. Sacramento would want more than Pau's garbage ass.

LAL get - evans/ilyasova

Bucks get - thorton/Pau

Kings get - ellis

This is solid.

Hes young, athletic, quick, and can score. I could see him excelling under D'Antoni's system. If Nash is going to mentor a pg I would definitely want to see him do so with Evans.

if reke had a jumper I would say yes. But he is a ball dominant scorer thats very streaky. he would be a better version of MWP on offense but I dont care for his defense. If Lakers arent trying to get Cousins b4 Reke something is wrong.

but I'll take anything to get rid of Pau Gasol and his fear of the paint.

Not sure how and when this developed

Trade demands aren't Kings guard Tyreke Evans' style, but he isn't thrilled about not receiving a contract extension this year and has had other issues with the club's front office. He's not about to make an issue of it, but Evans says that he would be neither shocked nor devastated if he were traded before the February 21st deadline, writes Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee.

Evans is also upset the organization didn't arrange for a second opinion on his sore left knee. Instead, his brothers and his agent were left to schedule a visit with Lakers orthopedist Dr. Steve Lombardo. The visit led to a different prognosis than the first look.

"The Kings need to do whatever they can to help the team win," said Evans, who also admitted that he has been extra cautious about his knee because of his contract situation. "I just want to go out there and play every night. That visit to (Lombardo)? That let me know that I wasn't totally wrong. I just need to get treated right. That was pretty much it."

Voisin writes that the Grizzlies have inquired on Evans and are known to be shopping small forward Rudy Gay. However, a deal involving Gay and Evans would require the Kings to make up the difference in salary on their end with contracts that extend beyond this season. The Lakers, Nuggets, and Celtics have also been interested in the past.

Bad trade if we lose Pau for Evans.

I don't see how it's a bad trade.

It may not be the right one, but getting anything useful for Pau is a plus. Not to mention a young, athletic guy who can be developed.

Bad trade if we lose Pau for Evans.

Hell no. Pau sucks now and Evans has a lot of potential.

It's funny to see some of you that say you want Evans for Gasol. Looks like the same people that said "no" to Gasol for Ellis. Idk if you guys know this, Ellis is better than Evans and its not even close.
