We played with "want" against the Spurs. Earl Clark had a career game, you know why? Because he played with chip on his shoulder. He played with a purpose. He played to earn his paycheck. He played to show everyone in that stadium that he belonged, he played with something to prove. That's how all our young guys should play. Meeks, Morris, Sacre, hell even Jamison should play with that edge. Jamison plays with arrogance, he plays like he's done it all and has nothing else to prove. Great game. Kobe has to play mad all the time lol. Great game by Nash. Metta has to make better decisions.

Looked better tonight but its still an L. The Spurs did not look like they were sweating much. No boxing out, wide open mid range shots for the Spurs.

Clark was a good takeaway from the game.
Pretty clear by now Jamison sucks. Sacre as well, but he's been put into a bad situation.
What's good about this is that if Clark can play well like this again then we know we'd be alright at the PF/C position with Dwight/Hill/Clark. Meaning, GTFO Pau.

We play hard, battle and fight and our games go down to the wire more often then not. All that said, we're good enough to get beat.

I'm very confused by this team. Every time I think we've turned a corner, we continue to lose. I just have gotten to the point where I feel like every game is the start of a huge winning streak.

I thought good things were coming the Lakers' way when they went on that 5-game winning streak. Thought that they had finally figured things out, but low and behold they managed to follow it up with even more awful basketball. Don't let tonight's game fool you. 35 games in and this team still doesn't have an identity other than being mediocre. You just never know which team will show up.

You gotta cut Sacre some slack, I mean the guy is a raw rookie, playing vs D-Leaguers, then he's being forced to learn quickly when he's thrown into battle vs a future HOFer in Duncan. He's holding it down pretty well imo.
As for Earl Clark, start him at SF instead of Morris starting at SG. If not, he'll for sure get backup 3 minutes over Ebankrupt.

Against Houston, we came out to a good start and showed glimpses of good D. Against SAS, we held in there for the entire game and played some good D at the end but couldn't knock down shots. Now, the Lakers can put it all together on Friday vs OKC. Lets see.

We gave up 30+ points per quarter against Houston, "defense" was not even in the Lakers vocabulary that night.
