Dwight could walk over to the Mavs in the off-season and Dirk expressed his frustration with the rebuilding process of a team that just won the championship 2 years ago. Also the T-wolves would love to reunite Spanish teammates Pau and Rubio. Why not execute the trade then let Dwight walk away.

Dwight for Dirk and Mayo
Gasol for Pekovic, Derrick Williams, Barrea
They would also have to take some cantracts like Ebanks, Duhon, Steve Blake.

Potential Lineup
PG: Nash
SG: Mayo
SF: Kobe
PF: Dirk
C: Pekovic

Backup:
PG: Barrea
SG: Meeks
SF: Metta
PF: D. Williams
C: Jordan Hill

ESPN reports: Earlier this season Twolves President "Kahn called an impromptu news conference after a shootaround leading to Minnesota's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He addressed a report that said the Wolves have built a package around Derrick Williams and Nikola Pekovic to offer the Lakers for Gasol."

Maybe that's why Minny might make that deal..

They must really want the guy. Value is in the eye of the beholder I guess. That is about as well as the Lakers could hope to do at this point.

Yeah I was thinking about whether the Lakers may consider trading both bigs. Not saying they will but it could be a possibilty.
