Lakers plan to huddle and assess options over next couple of days. Don't expect anything major right away. Kupchak is a ponderer

MD: I need Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, Tim Thomas and Shawn Marion, lets make it happen!

Rudy G is definitely intriguing. The only thing holding that idea back is his contract. Sounds like the Suns are talking with the Grizz about a trade as well

Granger is out with injury for a few more weeks if not months so I dont think he's an option.

I'd take gay even with his contract. Uconn, long athletic, shooter, scorer, can defend somewhat. He makes us a contender again. Problem is im not sure we have something they want nor do I think Memphis would help us unless they are sure they are getting significantly improved

And in reality, the front office is already ahead of the game. Does anyone remember the beginning of the season? The sources that said that Mike Brown had the 5 game homestand to prove his worth? The next day he was gone.

The front office knows what they are doing, they aren't waiting.

Not bad. I think Memphis does it if they get a PG since Bayless has been a bust for them so far

Probably, I just doubt we get a player of gays caliber

If we do Mitch deserves a medal regardless of the teams final record

I would feel the same, but I just can't bring myself to doubt Kupchak and this front office.

Not saying we'd get Rudy G, but I wouldn't be shocked if it happened

Talk about a savior though. Not only does he give us a consistent performer. He also makes us a better fit for d'antonis offense. The perfect fit. Ive thought so since we hired d'antoni. Don't think it's possible though

But

Dwight/ hill
Artest/ jamison
Gay/ Kobe
Kobe/ meeks
Nash/ Blake
