By that token Miami should auto-win every game. Just because they have LeBron.
Great logic there bud.

I guess mediocrity is alright for everyone.
Also any year you dont win the whole thing, it's a failure / bad season, ask Kobe.

that logic won't be tolerated.Jamison didnt play great, but we cant blame him for our loss, this team flat out has problems defending.

Everyone is just as frustrated as you are bro. But sitting behind a computer or phone or tablet and just ranting on a message board is not going to accomplish anything.Damn straight I'm raging and the fact that so many of you sit back and take this lightly I'd jut as maddening.

Majesty seriously, the fact that you just flail around blaming different players every night, ignore the big issues of the team or the situation they're in while turning a blind eye to the team not web caring about what's going on from the top to the bottom tells me a lot.
Also you're saying you are happy with Nike D'Antoni or Mike Brown? If you are, then once again that says more than I could ever say. Somehow you seem to be putting me down for favoring proven veteran coaches that command respect, coach defense and don't out up with mediocre to terrible play on all fronts as a bad thing. Not to mention that somehow backing the best coach of al time as my pick is a bad thing. You keep saying I'm pissed about the coaching pick while you sit back, make excuses and languish in the crap that this organization seems to be happily embracing.
Call me nuts but I want the best for this team while you seem to be pretty content with mediocrity. If that's so, then enjoy it because there's a full decade of it coming your way if things continue down the path you seem to be so happy with.
If this is somehow your idea of a bizarre put down there's no talking sense to you.
To me Phil wouldn't fix this team.
Know why?
Phil isn't big on defense as Kobe has said many MANY times. And Phil has a habit of NOT calling time outs and allowing players to "play through it".
So I take that into equation when I look at the problems of this team.
The problems of this team are people not giving effort on the defensive end.
The problem is not the offense and it's relatively more simple than the triangle and utilizes Steve Nash more than the triangle would.
The problems of this team are on the defensive end.
So if I'm imagining our team going through the motions with Nash(who was struggling in the Princeton) needing to have to learn the triangle and Pau being unwilling to roll to the basket which actually when Kobe and Pau ran it made us a deadly team, I cringe.
So imagining Phil on this team, trying to teach everyone the triangle.
So they'd go from one complicated system to another complicated system.
And THEN I think all the issues this team shows on the defensive end effort wise.
So we'd be seeing them struggling on offense, we'd see them NOT giving effort on defense, and we'd be seeing Phil wanting them to "play through it"
Was Phil going to make Gasol start going 17/10 again and start hedging pick and rolls correctly? No
Was Phil going to ask Nash to be more aggressive and shoot more? No, ball would be back in Kobe's hands to run things especially being that he knew the offense.
Was Phil going to take advantage of Nash's pick and roll ability, and if he did would he have better success in the triangle than in D'antoni's system with Gasol still remaining unwilling to get to the basket? No..
If anything it would be MORE frustrating to watch this team fumbling around, trying to learn the triangle and NOT giving effort defensively.
Our offensive system is not the problem with this team, the defensive hustle and effort is the problem of this team.
One thing history has taught us is that it sometimes doesn't matter who the coach is, it matters if the players are going to listen and learn.
So imagining this team with little to no time to try and get down the triangle offense while watching them not giving effort defensively our record MAY be worse by this point.
And that's a reality I accept that most fans don't seem to want to.

If we somehow land Dwight Howard AND Nash (which is one of the biggest reaches I've posted, don't think that will happen), then yeah...I have no problem with it, because Howard won't allow anyone to take Nash off the dribble 30+ minutes a game.
You should reach more often

I'm just dissapointed with this season as a whole really....

You're always slighting PJ. You did it when Mike Brown was here and you've been doing it since Mike D'Antoni got here. But tell me something, what have those two coaches accomplished?
The team has been taught two different inferior systems to the triangle and has been led by two inferior coaches.
If the front office was interested in catching up to Boston and continuing a winning tradition, then they would have hired the GOAT. The fact that they didn't tells me all I need to know.

Gonna pour another Jack and Coke and go get my butt kicked at Halo
LakersChamps: I wish this all wasn't true, but it is. I try to be as optimistic as I can but this year has wiped that away. I now look at this team with skepticism and doubt after the last two years.
Windu: Tonight you are my hero.
GotRings: On one hand you are very right. However, Turning a blind eye to what's going on and lletting it wash over you without being upset about it wont do anything either.
